I always thought a HUD would be cool to have and I want to try one out. I have a 95 Celica. If anyone knows of a well known one that works good and is reasonably cheap, that would be great. I searched around a little, but I don't really know what works with a 95 or anything. I have never really done much with my car yet. Thank for any help.

Like a display on the windshield?

First you'll have to build a car PC, then come up with a small LCD screen to project the image onto the windshield. You'll need some sort of reflective surface to put on the part of the windshield you want the image on if you want it to be seen more easily.

Basically google "car HUD" it's something I've been looking into a little bit, it will just take some time and money. The harder part is getting a carputer to read all the things you want.

I have a Tach HUD kit... tongue.gif

I haven't installed it yet, but when the new Tranny goes in, so does the hud. I just need to figure out what wire to hook it to on the interior harness... I think the gray wire is for the Tach, but I'm not sure. I haven't done that much research, but I will before I start. smile.gif

One thing at a time for me, otherwise my car will be a mell-of-a-hess.

Thanks!

I've also read somewhere on here that when wiring a tach, that you need to tap into the solid black wire on the ignitor... would that have a better signal strength than the gray wire in the car?

Canada - not sure about the fed spec comment:

1994 Celica GT-S - I've examined my ignitor, and I don't even have a solid black wire that comes from it, so either I misread the post or my version of Celica doesn't have a solid black ignitor wire.

I would rather have all the wiring for the tach inside the vehicle anyway and save myself running more wiring through the firewall. tongue.gif

As for the OP I ordered my Tach Hud Kit from these guys: http://www.plasmaglow.com/

Sorry for the thread-jack...
