Okay so i just bought a new distributor because my old one was shot(hopefully the source of all my problems) I cant seem to get the new one back flush against the block(has about 2 centimeters) my old one fit flush and my 92 gts's distributor fits flush against the block. Does it need to be "tapped" in lightly??? I'm most certain that it is lined up properly. Thanks for your time

on the engine side of the distributor, there are two tabs on the shaft directly across from each other. switch those around and put it in that way
