Happen to know if this will bolt on an MR2 second gen motor? I am not looking to do a motor swap any time soon but my Turbo has too much shaft play and it leaks a lil on one of my MR2 turbos. Probably won't be able to do anything until after the Holidays, but maybe I might be able to make something work.

Yes, it is a direct bolt on for any GEN2 series engine...no matter the model it came from.

Yes, it is a direct bolt on for any GEN2 series engine...no matter the model it came from. But not Gen3? I'll see what I am going to do then. I am honestly trying to understand why the Gen3 puts out more power stock and why parts fit only that and not on Gen2, and how much power per dollar overall for 450whp+ is better on Gen3 vs Gen2. Really I was considering Gen3 because for $2.5k, one can get a motor with less than 30k miles (supposedly) and included is 550cc injectors with LSD Trans. -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204

If you are going to be building the engines, makes no difference which gen to go with. Stock for stock Gen 3 hands down because of every aspect of the engine. But for your goal of 450+ and if you already have a gen 2 stick with it and build it.

^ This man speaks the truth. The items that make the GEN3 so much more powerful are the turbo, Intake manifold, cams, and ECU. All these compoinets need to be changed for 450+whp anyway.
I perfer the GEN3 because the parts you remove, can be sold for a rather large amount of cash, which will actually make the GEN3 platform a cheaper platform to start with. But in the end, they are the same...so pick your poision....for me, I went with a GEN3 for my 500+awhp Alltrac project. --------------------

Well either way, next year for certain (as things didn't go as planned for me this year) I will be hitting you up for parts. Selling a car or two, to reach these goals, plus some extra money from tax returns and such. As for the turbo, I will see what I can do for now by next check. My daily driver MR2 does need a new turbo as this one has too much shaft play. ^^^ which one are u selling? the wide one? No, my Celica and possibly my green MR2 Turbo. The widebody I decided to keep, although will not be a daily driver. I might pick up something else for a daily if I don't keep both MR2 turbos.
