Alright so as I recently posted I bought JDM Fenders - I also bought clear sides as I intended to replace the one missing sidemarker with clear sides...only to find out I bought US sides.

That being said, is there anywhere I can buy clear or amber JDM sides? From browsing around I feel like I saw something about OEM JDM clear sidemarkers somewhere, but I can't remember. If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

wolfie maybe...?

I had that thought too, but I think he only does turns and 3rd brakes.

Edit: A rather lengthy search brought me to part #81731-20220 for clear JDM sides and #81732-20220 for the seals - can anyone confirm these are clear and not amber?

Morning/Evening all,

Correct, I haven't done the sides due to insufficient interest due to the price I'd need to charge.

For those of you who haven't seen this parts list before, I think you'll find it very useful. I got it from a guy on the MR2 forum

http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/
http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_J_1995_TOYO...BLPZF_8106.html

Here you have all the JDM parts for both sides including lamps and seals.

AFAIK they were never made by Toyota in clear. Hope that helps smile.gif

I am sure TOYOTA did launch some Fender sidemarker in white (Not totally clear, not as clear as aftermarket one)

Just like the one for Levin/Trueno AE111 or some newer model, corolla, picnic, ipsum or even estima

Hey Vincent, that's confused the hell out of me......your link for the Levin part nos is exactly the same as the JDM ST202 parts in my link, but surely the 1995 Celica ones would be amber? kindasad.gif

Oh, yes, 94-99 celica have amber on, they are same size, let me find another one, I am sure they have some milky like OEM one.

Here's some aftermarket one from Japan

thats the one on mine

Sorry - misread the O.P.....I thought it was these but in OEM pattern rather than the 'crystal clear' types here.....

Vince, your link doesn't work - are these the same sidemarkers that you have on your car in your photos? I like those, they look OEM.

Those are what I bought, thinking I was getting JDM sidemarkers - sure as hell looked like it in the listing.

Are these the numbers for clear or amber?

And does anyone know if the numbers I listed in my second post are clear or amber? According to malpaso's thread they're clear - I typed the part number into google image search and all the results that came up were clear sides, but when I go to enter it into toyotapartszone.com or partznet.com, it only comes up as "OEM Toyota LENS & BODY, SIDE TU"

And if anyone's wondering why I'm making such a big fuss, I have JDM Projectors and I have diamond clear turns coming in, bought the diamond clear US sides on accident - wondering if I can find the sidemarkers in clear to make sure I have everything clear. If not, no big deal.

@Tech-Nics: Thanks - I don't know why my ebay searches turned up with nothing. I'm grabbing the genuine ones, they look clearer.

@captb: I'll be doing a full LED conversion after I get the fenders, hood and new headlight bracket in.

@nammer: Thanks for the clarification - the other number must be amber then. I did however order the pair in the second link on Tech-Nics' post - they looked best to me, and they're OEM and not aftermarket, so that's a huge plus.

Ha it'll be a while before that. When the fenders get here I have to sand and prime, then paint, then clear, then take my whole front end apart and put them on along with my CF hood, align the panels and such, and I believe my lambo hinges should be in by then so those have to go on...lol could be a week or so.
