Seen a Celica for sale at the end of last week, as soon as I saw it I fell in love with it. It is an import, needs a few wee bits and pieces done to it but overall it's not too bad. The only downside is it's the 3F-SE engine and not the 3G-SE, I don't mind though as I'm looking for a car to do up nicely for the shows so not overly concerned about the performance. Also got it for the bargain price of £700 ($1067) smile.gif Some pics for you;

Plan to put on black raiser blocks and may change the bonnet to black as well.

Done a few jobs to the front today;

Before I started;

Got rid of this;

Fitted this; Thanks to Rob at Likwidart

Fitted number plate surround and Fly Eye Kit to all the lights;

***Also got it for the bargain price of £700 ($1067)*** LOL!!!

That same car here in the US would sell for at least 6k+ just being a RHD.

Thanks Johnny think they are Veilside, I have the same ones to fit on my Red GT came as part of a kit I bought although they are marked as Erebuni 404, I think Erebuni done Veilside replicas although I could be wrong.

Thanks I thought it was a steal at that price, the guy I bought it off pointed out that the boot (trunk) wouldn't lock, the bonnet latch wasn't working, the handbrakes were shot, the front passenger side shock was shot and would probably cost about £200 ($300) to get fixed and hence the good price, I had all these fixed myself in about an hour and cost me nil laugh.gif

biggrin.gif I know what you are saying, the bonnet catch just needed connected to the the pulling lever in the car ~ 3 mins fixed it, the trunk latch needed a spring, got one from a friend ~2 mins replaced it, the handbrake just needed an adjustment at the shoes about 15mins including removing the rotor and aligning the hole in the rotor and the biggest job was removing the front strut and replacing it with one I took from my GT awhile ago (McPherson thank goodness I didn't need Superstrut) took around 30 mins. wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif A year ago I wouldn't have known how to adjust the handbrake on a Celica

I knew when I bought the car that the exhaust was split in two just before where it goes in to the back box, was my intention to replace the exhaust but needed a quick fix before I went to a show (Heatwave in Dublin) with CelicaIreland

Broken exhaust;

Pretty crude fix...but effective smile.gif

Was lying on my back under the car smoking a ciggie and admiring my handiwork when I noticed a badge on the bottom of the back box, couldn't read it as it was so dirty so give it a rub with my finger to reveal this.....

Absolutely delighted a genuine TRD exhaust... gonna spend some dollars/pounds to get it fixed properly, not often you see these babies wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif

OK so exhaust fixed, car cleaned, meeting up with the guys for a road trip to Dublin, amazing trip to Dublin there was about 10 Celicas in our convoy and we owned the road, riding double breast to hold back the traffic whilst we had some fun on the motorway/freeway 140mph was a common speed wink.gif Drag racing on the open road FTW!

Arrived in Swords (outskirts of Dublin) at about 5pm, booked in to our hotel, quick shower and change and headed out for a serious night partying, one of the best nights I have ever had in my life (apart from the cost of booze in Southern Ireland frown.gif )
was getting to bed about 5am........

......Early start we had to be at venue for 08:30am.... dunno how I managed it but I did, got to the show and got the old girl parked up on the stand;

Note the fly-eye kit on rears and Toyota horny devil badge... thought the Big Yellow Taxi didn't look out of place amongst the other Celicas wink.gif
