Hi 6gc,

As some of you may know, I completed a ST205 Front end conversion not too long ago.

After researching front bodykit options, there were a few options that I liked. TRD Spats, C-One front & Eurou Type 1 but after owning f/g SS-III front splitters the sound and sight of cracked fibreglass = mad.gif I swore never to own a fibreglass bodykit again! So whats for plastic...

- EURO front splitters were a thought but for the price I thought I could find a complete lip:

- EUROPE under spoiler dealer option is super hot but super low. A pain where I live.

- TOM's option lip is very nice, but the middle just doesn't flow with ST205 bar although if it was moulded it'd be fantastic. Still uber cool.

Then I found this:

Username: Angel

and again on unknown UK car:

If it can be done on a GT, then it could be put one on a GT4 front.

The lip itself was only $50 compared to the $300+ other options. Also, if your sick of the complete lip, cut the middle bit and you have EURO splitters.

It was really easy to install:
1. Align lip with front bar
2. Use tape to mock fit it
3. Move and make correction where necessary
4. Trim down the two middle supports/tabs in the middle of the lip.
5. Slowly use self-tapping screws to secure.
6. Paint if you want. After looking on AUDI forums where its a common modification, it looks nicer not painted.

*car has not been washed in 3 weeks. It still needs a little adjusting but other than that, done!

Any questions, feel free to ask thumbsup.gif

Cheers,
Cal.

Haha thanks!

I just think for $50 (probably find some cheaper) you can't go wrong.

Looks nice, doesn't matter if comes off and its plastic.

Maybe ghetto (not garden edging though) but to me it replaces the need for EURO splitters. Less than a quarter of the price, its a full lip and as mentioned trim the middle bit off = euro splitters. Still mount them the same as EURO splitters as well. woot.gif

wonder if that will fit under my TRD bumper then i wouldn't have to bother fabricating one

found this with a bit of googling http://reviews.ebay.co.uk/Seat-Leon-Cupra-...000000002786925

QUOTE
Okay, I know ebay is a place for sellers to make money and for buyers to grab a bargain, but some sellers really are taking advantage of buyers who don't know any better.
Don't be lazy - shop around!
You'd be surprised how much cheaper some Main Dealer prices compared to rip off ebay seller's prices!!

One example of this is the Seat Leon Cupra R front splitter, sold by RIP OFF MERCHANTS such as goingfast_info & goingfast_eurocustoms

You will have seen one advertised for the Seat Leon, Seat Toledo, Seat Ibiza, Volkswagen Golf Mk4 and Mk5, Volkswagen Jetta, Audi A3, Audi S3, Rover 200, Rover 400, MG ZR and so on.

Sellers advertise it as high quality, original OEM parts, made in Germany etc. Well yes, that's about the only part of their listing that is true!
They will then go on & tell you the item is RARE and HARD TO FIND
Well that statement is a TOTAL LIE - it most certainly is not!!

The final insult is their asking price: in excess of £40 plus £10 postage!! WTF!?
If you're thinking of buying a splitter for your VW, Audi or Seat - call your local Seat dealer!
The part number is 1ML 805 903 and the price is only £16.99 + VAT (£19.96).

Your local dealer may have one in stock, or at worst you'll have to wait a couple of days for one to be ordered in - they're certainly not rare or hard to find!

So, grab yourself a bargain - don't buy from rip off ebay sellers - head down to your local Seat dealer and buy a Leon Cupra R splitter for half the price!

Also, don't pay for £45 for an hours labour to have it fitted at a garage, DIY fitting guides are available at Seat Cupra (dot) net.
If you feel this information has helped you, please vote YES

Obviously, I'll not be getting any thanks from RIP OFF MERCHANTS who make massive profits from this item!! (As you can probably tell from the two "no votes" this company found my guide!! lol

it is part number 1ML 805 903 so i'm going to pop in next week as i have a Seat dealer like a mile away from my house

It'd fit perfectly under TRD bumper.

Just in the middle part where there are 2 tabs, they might need to be trimmed down a little.

Yeah, they're like £25 over here from the Seat dealer. Look good, i have one on mine:

I wouldn't paint it though, the paint won't stay on that type of textured plastic very long....

As mentioned, SEAT dealer, EBAY or some private businesses.

The Audi/ VW crowd love em and theres a big AUDI following in US, so search on their forums to see where they got theirs. Most likely a shop dedicated to those makes and models who stocks the lip!

They are made specifically for a Seat Cupra R but can be made to fit alot of 'round' fronted cars:

But I have seen them on Audi's ala picture by manphibian, VW's, Eclipses etc.:

I searched for like a hour and finally typed in the right thing on eBay I guess and found one for 40 euro's. Then checked shipping and it's 80 euro's. That's killer. Lol.
