hey guys remember how my car looked yesterday????

well this is how it looks now. isn't it just AMAZING!

I would like to thank the Silverado that backed into me for the fantastic new look.
Turned out the guy who hit me was also friends with the cop who showed up at the scene. ****ING GREAT. So theres no doubt in my mind that the police report is going to conveniently be missing the section where its supposed to say whos fault this was (his).

I'm seriously at a loss right now. I just want to give up. I dumped $1500 in body work and maintance into this car over the summer... it never ends

Pictures!

After Stambo and I got lost, we followed bloodMoney in to the Lone Point shelter.

All the cars lined up for pictures. For some reason, Chris made me park my car down at the end. Let's play "Which car doesn't belong?" laugh.gif

Figures... A bunch of guys standing around, making the girl do all the work. I am curious what Chris was looking at in this picture. Maybe I should submit it to D-Man for ideas.

Heading out for a cruise before going to Mathison for a hike.

Hiking at Mathison.

After the hike, the cars sitting in the parking lot.

Stambo's interior. I love the gauges.

Driving home after the group split up.

Tom, I cropped part of that last picture so that there was no other traffic and I assume you didn't want to see my windshield wipers. I have the full size copy if you want to see it. It's not quite as grainy.

Here you go. The graininess is just from the dirt on my windshield. It shows up when I crop it the picture.

Everyone remember how clean my car was yesterday? Not the cleanest in the world, but clean? You should see it now after 5.5 hours of bugs on the interstate. Visibility through the windshield is zero.

Luke, you should find this guy and burn his house down. That sucks, dude. As long as the police report doesn't say you rear-ended him, you should be alright. Hope for the best. This could be an opportunity for you- JDM high from Lagos?

Hey, at least you could still show up in a Celica instead of a car you could find in the McDonald's drive through while I'm getting some chicken nuggets for my 4 kids laugh.gif I hope to have my Celica running again by the next meet.

really appreciate it bitter, I've got the equivalent of a shop in my garage because I went nuts on buying tools my freshman year in college so im good there haha. I actually dont even have that much to take apart anyway, only the front bumper since the radiator support can be saved. What I do need is a passenger high beam and a hood, so if you have one or know of one then let me know!

as far as repairs go, I went over to my body guy and we discussed my options. right now it looks like paint supplies are going to be in $150 range, paint labor is $250, booth charge is $100, pulling out the radiator support is $100, a new radiator is $150 (not factoring my 20% work discount), new toyota coolant and some r134a for the AC should cost ~ $90. $740 so far... I still have to find and price a hood and high beam. Surprisingly this is turning out to be more expensive than the damage I just fixed!

This guy wants to keep insurance out of this so i'm gonna take the celi to get a repair quote at the local shop (which is definately going to cost more that $1200) and then I'm gonna give him the price through my guy. I think He'll choose the latter!

~so it looks like im gonna ask for $1,000. So again, if any of you chicago guys know of a local hood and head light please, PLEASE, let me know!

Sounds good to me, if you need anything else theres a few of them with perfectly good tail lights and interior pieces. No one around me does anything with a 6gc just civics tongue.gif
