Hey guys, back on July 10th I ordered a VIS carbon fiber hood from Andysautosport.com - I did background searching on them and found mixed reviews, some people had excellent experiences, some people waited months for their items before finally getting the wrong thing or a cheap version of the same thing.

As I said, a month to the day ago I ordered a VIS OEM CF Hood, and have been constantly emailing them back and forth (politely, as it is) about my hood. So far their suppliers have had backups of orders, so my expected ship date was pushed back a week. Then I never got anything, and after another email, the container with my item was just so happening to arrive this past weekend. Here are the e-mails:

QUOTE (Andy's)

We appreciate your business!

I then sent them a question about the styling of the hood, because I got confused after looking at the item title again. I won't bother posting it, it's not relevant to the issue. Afterwards, on 7/21...

QUOTE (Andy's)
Your order with Andy’s Auto Sport is expected to ship 7/30/10. You can expect us to email you the tracking information for your order when it ships.

My response, 7/22:

QUOTE (Espo)
Hi, I'm just wondering why my order was pushed back a week? I never changed it, to my knowledge.

-Cory

On 7/26:

QUOTE (Andy's)
Hello,

We do apologize for the delay, our vendors were encountering some slight delays with their back up of orders so this should be shipped out at that new improvised date. Please await our response for tracking information.

Customer Service

My response, 8/3:

QUOTE (Espo)
I really don't mean to be pushy, but it's now 8/3, my hood was supposed to ship on 7/30 and I have yet to hear anything from you guys. I don't know how else to word it, but is there something happening that's keeping me from being shipped?

-Cory

On 8/4, 12:34PM:

QUOTE (Andy's)
Hello,

We do not have this part in our warehouse and get them straight from the manufacturer. They inform us of delays in which we relay them to you. We do apologize to be the bearer of bad news but we can assure you that you will receive this soon. Please await our response for tracking information, we also have our vendors shipping straight to you in order to save time.

Thank you,

Ryan
Customer Service

And then like 13 minutes later, 12:47PM:

QUOTE (Andy's)
Hello,

We have just received word that your order's next container is coming in on Friday afternoon, so this will ship for sure Monday or Tuesday. Please let us know if you have any additional concerns.

Thank you,

Ryan
Customer Service

It's now Tuesday and no tracking info, so I fired off another e-mail, and this is where we stand:

QUOTE (Espo)
Hey, I haven't received any notice of the hood being shipped. Can we find out where it's at?

-Cory

Anyone else feel like they're screwing around with me? That's certainly how I feel at this point and I'm about ready to cancel my order and go elsewhere - only problem is I have no idea where else to go for a hood, short of Ebay I guess.

If anyone could recommend another store or add on some of their experiences, I'd much appreciate it - it'd help me make my decision as to whether or not to cancel.

I've heard that, that place is horrible. I looked at a ton of reviews online before and they were all mostly negative

also dude you can use andy auto sport to find the brands and sometimes it may just be easier going to those brand sites. Another option for really good quality gear is titanmotorsports.com. They have a good range depending on what your after of course

Hi, I don't own a celica but I did purchase a ViS front bumper for my 4dr honda civic 07 from andysautosports.com. This is my experience so far...I placed my order on the phone with the sales rep on Saturday Aug. 28, 2010. The sales rep told me I would be getting a confirmation email with a tracking number so i can track my order. Tuesday rolls around the corner and havent recieved an email yet, so I called in and sent them an email. The sales rep on the phone told me that it was getting shipped out from ViS on the 31st and as soon as they hear word from ViS they would relay me the tracking number. At this point I was only concern because originally I got the site from a friend who I thought knew about this kinda stuff. But then I did some research on aas reputation and apparently there were a bit of bad reviews. I didn't want to wait for the unknown so I made sure with the rep that there would be no delays and apparently he told me if there was initially then ViS would tell them. So yesterday i checked my email, September 1st, and to my surprise they sent me a tracking number with fedex. Tracked my shipment and it is coming from the City of Industry, CA where ViS is located so I'm pretty confident it is an original ViS front bumper and not a generic. Anyways, first time experience with them and they were pretty helpful and looks like my bumper is gonna come pretty soon, expected delivery date is sept, 8. but as long as its on its way, I'm glad. I'll let you guys know the condition of it when it arrives but yah, I think most people that have problems with them are getting something that's 15-20 years old, stuff that's obsoleted.

I bought a Kombat front bumper and they told me it had to be made to order then sent straight to me. I got it the day before the date I was told to expect, so maybe it's the manufacturer? Idk, I'd be willing to use them again.

And thats not suspicious, how can a company make money off of something that's $200 cheaper then the actual company. I've said this many of times, thw reason andy's is so cheap is because the things they sell don't meet the originals company standard. They're not defective part all are still sent threw state/country regulations, they just don't meet company quality.
