^ No, that's called deserving to get pulled over.
And today, I'm going to rig up a way to fasten the rear carpet down some more...the OEM clips/velcro aren't working for me, my heavy sub keep sliding, and said sliding keeps disconnecting the ground and 12v power wire. Or maybe I need to invest in better connectors... ^ Good observation, but I want the sub to stay removable, and I don't want to ghetto-rig it to the seatbacks.

Pulled my CEL's..............which i figured to be no big deal as I pop "27" from time to time, and thats cause I dont have a secondary O2 Sensor hooked up yet. So today here is what I found:
Code 12 - RPM Signal (Dizzy, Starter or Circuit, ECM) Code 27 - Sub O2 Sensor Code 42 - NO. 1 VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR....thats from the auto trans. On top of that Im sure I tore a CV Boot, as there is a bunch of grease all over the underside of the car now. On top of that she "clicks" when I turn left. Which to me is a sure sign. So looks like alot of projects are off for now while I obtain the correct parts (Dizzy, Speed Sensor 1, and axle) Good times! Looks like I have a long weekend ahead of me! Thanks god it wast a TPS code.....that would of been funny considering I just sold my extra! Well, now Im going back out to verify the boot. I must know. And its nice n hot! Life is great! But I did some searching, if anyone has any good part numbers, please send them my way. I like OEM, but at this point will take just about anything thats not used! I need to do the same, my subs don't slide around too much but more than I'd like them to, if you come up with something really good let me know!!!! -------------------- 2009 Chevy Cobalt SS Turbo "Torque Monkey" SOLD

Do a continuity test on your wires from the dizzy to ECU, I had this same problem and it turned out to be the ECU. And also, thanks for the tps ^^ -------------------- 1994 Celica GT, coupe, 5 speed. Failed at installing what i didn't realize was 3inch CAI piping from a 90-94 Accord that i also believe was already cut by the previous owner of it, it also didn't have any couplers and I don't like the bypass filter. I'm going to get a proper 2.5-to-3.0inch coupler and I will have to modify the hole.

Drove by a local car club and spotted a red 6gC parked near some other nice vehicles; turned around and pulled in to have a word with the car's owner. Told him about the site and suggested that he have a peek at the site, join, and mentioned getting a crew of mid-South 6gc'ers together for a meet.
...other than that, enjoyed driving around town listening to the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World soundtrack. -------------------- Has no more Celicas

Well back to the CV drama! Went to the shop and decided to take a look and see if there were any tears/holes. While cleaning it up I pulled slightly on the inner boot and guess what? It pulled right off! So that was my problem, a loose clamp (+1 to the guy who guessed it!). The grease was still in good condition, just lacking. So I cleaned it up and repacked some more high temp moly in there. Re-clamped, and went to test it out. Not too bad, only problem is a loud clicking which is probably the screw part of the screw clamp (temp fix till new axle arrives)hitting the splash guard, so I still got to pull off that splash guard to avoid the noise. So next week Im looking forward to replacing the half shaft, and troubleshooting my other CEL's.
Pulled the splash guard, and no noise. The axle noise is barely there anymore. I pat myself on the back for a good band aid fix! This post has been edited by Spider77: Aug 29, 2010 - 4:42 PM |
