Hey so i might be buying a Kenwood headunit from someone and its a double din and i wanted to know if its even possible to install it without too much trouble

Very easy, buy a harness for Toyota from Wal Mart its about 10 bucks. Then the wires are color coordinated. So just play match match. And your done. The only difficult thing would be hooking up the video wire to the E-Brake. But you can get around that with a over ride switch, or re-pinning the wire. Itsw super simple and takes about 15minutes if you use butt connectors. If you do it the right way, shrink wrap and sawtering iron. ( That isnt how its spelled )

Other than than man it really isnt hard at all.

not sure if they're the same process but when i installed a double din into my is300, all i had to do was color match. video, sound, and everything else should play or work. wink.gif

oh i meant like mounting into the bracket!
i've wired stereos before i just wanted to know how hard it would be to mount it
i couldnt find a double din mounting bracket for a celica anywhere

I think I have a extra set, do you mean the one that comes stock with the celica ? The mounting beakers that hold it in place.

yeah!
like how when you buy an aftermarket stereo, you have to buy that plastic bracket to hold it in place.
i cant find one for a doulbe din stereo
everywhere i look just says that double din stereos wont fit in celicas D:

Easy install. Shouldnt have any problems with fitment.

Man you can get a mounting bracket from best buy, thats where i got mine for the double din

your single din mounting bracket usually will bolt up to your double din deck...lotsa holes

Your stock mounting brackets bolt right up and all you have to do with the ebrake safety wire is run it to ground. Stupid simple install - I did mine in 1/2hr.
