yes you are better off just getting a 3S-GTE. i make a turbo kit for the 5S but its about 2000, so you can just get a 3S-GTE for that price

I try to keep up with the forums, but don't have time at my leisure. If you can PM me with the information and what I will need as far as parts to complete the kit and what necessary work needs to be done to the engine. I had begun to prep my 5sfe for a Burien Kit. the guy put me on a list and doesn't work at burien toyota anymore and disappeared. Nevertheless if you can point me in the right direction and let me know about your set up, then I will make the purchase. Ilive in the Virgin Island and don't know of anyone who has done a 3sgte swap or capable of doing it. So I will opt for the 5sfte. |

unless you bought a 5sfe, you dont have one because your car is an ST. The GT's have the 5s, the ST's have 7a.

i was talking to the op, and I know smaay has kits for both. What I meant was that it would be more reasonable to just get a 3s instead of boosting the 5s because it would be more cost effective.

i have no clue what the hell i'm doing! lol
I wanted to boost it, but I want a 3s But the fact that I need to start saving for college might change that all. For right now I'm doing a a2m swap as well as an engine swap (my other 5s with 124k on it) |

Unless you get a great deal on a STRONG 5s (free) you would just be better to go 3sgte.
Besides mpg(MAYBE) your not gonna have any gains by going 5sfte. This post has been edited by SupraKid: Oct 2, 2010 - 11:17 PM |
