I have read that for the doors, 8inch full range speakers are better than putting 8inch subs...subs need more room for the sound waves to travel, and the door isnt enough space. 8inch speakers are hard to find, so look for either marine speakers (full range, there are a few this size for boats) or for subs in the door: 'free-air' subs. Not really. Do a search. Lanzar, Pyle and Focal come to mind. I'm sure there are others. I would add that 8" speakers are also available from DLS, Alpine, Ground Zero and Hertz. I'm using Hertz right now, after using Ground Zero for a while. I recommend you all to use component sistems, NOT coaxial/triaxial speakers, NOT subwoofers. You can't get a nice sound from a couple of subwoofers in your doors... What you need is called: kickwoofer, midwoofer, kickbass, midbass etc., depending on the manufacturer and/or the frequency range. Oh, and of course: sound deadening materials for more bass and no more rattle noises = more sq. -------------------- |
