It would be like lag lag BOOST, INSANE TORQUE STEER, 1 second of enjoyment then hit rev limiter and shift.

totally a date, swiss It was totally random and coincidental. He was driving for work, I was driving home. I happened to be weaving through traffic and BAM!, black 6th gen. Then I looked a second time and noticed the wheels and GT-4 risers. So how is Samir BTW? OT: Decided to finally buy tires this month now that my rim project is finished. Good. Doing Samir things as always. So what happened with the wheels? I finished painting them. -------------------- Has no more Celicas

^ Nope, they're still sitting. The tires are still on them, in fact. I'm waiting for my summer pay to come in (yes, my boss still hasn't paid me the rest and yes, I am that broke) before I can buy paint supplies. But I start working on October 25th, so I'm thinking of picking up some 16's (for weight reduction) while I need new tires anyway...
I saw a Matrix the other day with some really clean-looking five-spokes, similar to 7GC wheels but rounder. I liked the look, I'm trying to find out if they were OEM. They weren't the ones that njccmd has. Which clear did you use? I like the result, it looks very even and shiny. Did you use a chemical stripper or did you sand by hand? Believe it or not but there's no clear on that; I tried a clear on one rim and it just made it look crappy...even after buffing it for hours so I sanded and repainted it. I used a chemical stripper to pull the original paint off, then a plastic scraper to remove what was left, and then sanded it all down as smooth as possible to bare metal. -------------------- Has no more Celicas

Sounds good, that'll be my plan of action then. I've heard as well that rattle-can clear somehow doesn't look good, but I guess I'll see when I get there. Thanks pal.

I've heard as well that rattle-can clear somehow doesn't look good I can't get high temp rattle can clear to look anything but milky unless the part is bake-able. Good luck with it tho bro -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. I'm going to run these for a year without clear and see how beat up they look after. I have a feeling that as long as you don't curb them, it probably won't be too much of an issue. How many coats did you do? This post has been edited by SwissFerdi: Sep 29, 2010 - 9:10 AM -------------------- '97 ST \ Eibach \ KYB \ Kenwood \ Alpine \ Cusco \ OEM+ [sold 10/18]

My tC rims, sanded down completely to get ride of curb rash ( used a real sander lol ) then sprayed one coat, wet sanded, sprayed another coat, let dry over night, wet sanded, let dry, painted again. I did that about 6 times. And there shiny and havnt chipped yet and there a good 1-2 years old now and look the same. I'm giving them to my girlfriend with a tC bc shes tired of her plain tC rims lmfao.
Oh and today is my off day, so im heading to the shop to check on my new ride and my 6gc. I'm still 50/50 on selling it. Ha and for those who asked the coils are BC BR Series with pillowball mounts, but one of the upper plates is messed up so need a new one. |

Installed the parking lights and sidemarkers from this topic: HERE
Next, pics with the lights off, in the daytime. Daytime, lights on. Night time, lights on, flash on. Night time, lights on, flash off. I think their totally worth the $85 for the side markers and turn signals!!! -------------------- Failing to prepare is preparing to fail!
