That's an artists rendition, and may not look accurate. I'm talking about the 260hp motor, and not the wimpy 200(ish)hp motor the Toyota will have.

this is just too sexy.
200 or 260, it doesn't matter. i just hope there's an optional turbo motor. at this point, everything looks good. That's an artists rendition, and may not look accurate. I'm talking about the 260hp motor, and not the wimpy 200(ish)hp motor the Toyota will have. yeah, it may look even uglier. can't wait to see the subaru concept though. -------------------- |

why do i have a hunch that this car is gonna be a little pricer Because you'd be following the same train of thought most of the automotive world is having about this car. I think for around 25k loaded I will happily bite if the power/weight ratio is good; anything higher priced will need to bring some serious benefits or it's bye-bye birdy. -------------------- Has no more Celicas

im still praying that toyota dosent screw the pooch on this one... im thinkin theyre gonna gheyify it. Like Solarafy it? Gawd, I hope not. Oh Lawd.... EXACTLY. i joined an ft86 ethusiast forum for some more news and whats interesting is that i never saw mention of them solarifying it. THANK GOD. im going to sound like a broken record but they REALLY need a turbo option. 3sgte JUST went out of production 3 years ago. PUT IT IN. but truth be told, i'm just happy theyre trying to make waves in the import world. toyota is VERY abscent. -------------------- |

i'm sorry if i make someone mad with this post but it seems like toyota did it again by changing things up at the last second.
the ft-86 is most likely gonna be called toyota fr-s. The looks have changed and looks a bit worse. Toyota decided to go for a more "italian" look. My sources come from reading a magazine called holiday auto at my local japanese store. I did not read the whole article but it seems that toyota is likely gonna go to production with this style. and my friend in japan is hearing rumors about a 4door version of this as well... i like the original design better and wish they will go back. This current one looks kinda of like the hyundai genesis. -------------------- PROJECT 6TH GEN

oh well, you really can't expect anything good from toyota anymore. This is why we need to keep our celica's alive, and swap moar powerful engines into them, and build them up.

I really hope Toyota never decides to remake the Supra. Knowing them, they'll redesign and redesign until it looks like an EK hatch or the Evo wagon.

well they made it a sedan ... all they have to do now is put the prius hybrid engine in there and convert it to fwd great job, mr. toyoda. -------------------- ◊◊◊ My F/S Thread! ◊◊◊
QUOTE (14:19:21) Daniel: That was a JDM hole in the side of the box too. There was so much JDM trapped inside that box that they couldn't contain it, so they had to put a JDM hole in the box to let the JDM out. QUOTE Ferdi says (11:29) No, it looks like a hooker put her acid vag on your hood. Acid vag = bigger problem than a few dings. |
