I'm Comparing the C-One Sway bar used on Superstrut Suspension vs the Suspension Technique used on McPherson Suspension. Two total different suspensions set ups

Im about to lose it. Freagin have some loose part or something lose in the engine that is loose when I give it gas really fast on and off in 3rd gear when I'm at 2,000 rpm. I tightened motor mounts to 64 ft lb tq. But it still makes the same noise. The thing that pisses me off so bad is the stupid front sway bar. How the hell are you supposed to take off the bolts that hold it down. You only have such limited space with the allen wrench wtf!!!! Im going and try to tackle it tomorrow but can someone help me or give me some tips in how to make my life much easier with those damn screws!!!

Yes I have the ST sway bars with the polyurethane bushings. I believe they need some grease which could be causing the clunking noise! help!!?? mad.gif

im looking for front and rear sway bars. i want to up grade my suspension after i finish my swap. so fair i just lowered it on kyb struts and sportline springs.

wow dude it clearly states that the old version Suspension Tecnique sway bars use to hit the frame. The new ones don't.

Your only option is Suspension Technique sway bars front and rear should cost you around $300 ish plus shipping. They come powder coated lime green so that you know they are the 2nd version. they work great get them!!!

yaa.. i seen that it said the old ones hit and then somethin about newer version was better along the way but i still seen some posts about noises. so i was just asking dude.

they seem pretty easy to install. do u recommend doing the poly bushings too?

and how did u make out with the front sway bar? get it in yet?

I doubt any of those would fit, since they are USA shops (and USA didn't get 6th gen superstrut)

best bet would be to check UK/europe aust NZ and Japanese sites for those parts. Fensports do some for the SS ST205 and ST202 (not too sure what suspension set up

as to how the hell this even happened I have no clue! pot hole doubt it driving so much in the canyons that it suddenly decided to break off??!

also the left side a arm is about 40,000 miles old and the car has 130,000 miles on it. The insurance company replaced it when my bro crashed this car by going up a curb and into some bushes, which was then handed over to me smile.gif but this is so weird! welding is a quick fix, but if its weldable when I ask around and snaps again. I'll need a used one!!!

I've heard of this happening on the rear but not the front, I guess the sway bar was so stiff it snapped it, can see how it happened...and no wonder it was clunking haha, my rear came slightly loose and made lots of noise.

yes hopefully i can get a quick fix that will last me another 8,000 miles. I planned on going to the canyons but now I have to fix this. I need to loosen the polyurethane bushings so I can lube them up and move the sway bar. Hopefully I didn't twist the sway bar. I hate greasing up the front sway bars such a pain in the ass!!! frown.gif
