Rotating tires is just bringing back to front, front to back and switching the right side with left, correct? For example, the front right tire would end up in rear left. If that's all it is, I can do it myself, right?

ya, really doesn't matter which way you rotate it. I know a lot of people have their own way of doing it.

Just pay attention if you have directional tires. They'll have an arrow on the sidewall showing the way they need to rotate when going down the road. If you have directional tires you can only rotate front to back, you can't switch sides.

Easy way is to jack one side of the car and do that side first then switch to the other side.

hey guys well I just bought a set of 205/45R16 Yokohama S Drive Tires. the thing is that my friend can hook me up with a mounting and balance of tires for $50. which is pretty cheap. $5 for mounting, $5 for balancing and $2 for recycling the old tire. The shop where his friend works at is a small family owned place, and from the looks of the outside pics on Google maps. It looks like a whole in the wall place and it looks like it only has room in the garage for one car at a time. I'm only afraid that when he balances the tires they will become uneven and wear unevenly. At $50 thats really cheap at other places they charge you $60 for 4 tires, plus another $14 for recycling and what the hell is that TMWS fee?!!! I didn't get charged that when I got new tires 2 years ago!!!??
And yes the tires are obviously directional, so I'll make sure and let them know when they mount them. -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

Why are you worried about the balancing? Is your friend an idiot and doesn't know how to do the work, or you think the equipment is bad?

well I just spoke with a employee on the phone from the Goodyear Tire store location. I told him my size tire and for alignment and balancing/mounting he quoted me $150. Not bad. $80 for alignment and $70 for mount and balance. Yes $20 more than my friend would charge and $20 is $20 bucks I know.
Yes I feel his equipment isn't up to par. I have yet to see it, like I said, I only saw the outside pics from google maps and its a small rinky dinky place on a corner. It's where a house used to be. place is called ok tires in Hawaiian Gardens -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts
