Didn't mind it so much.

Faust was a god behind the wheel of the SRT though... impressive.

I just finished watching it. I have a lot of respect for Tanner Foust's driving. But this show desperately needs new hosts. These three are all profoundly boring and I think the producers assume we're all a bunch of ignorant people. I'm sorry, but I don't need every single thing explained to me. "You'll never see his face, you'll never hear his voice. All we know is he's called the Stig." Wtf? Where is the witty sarcastic humor? Yes, we KNOW he's called the Stig. The only reason we're watching this show is because we're all familiar with the real Top Gear.

Viper vs. Cobra attack helicopter, cool concept. Except Jeremy Clarkson already did it in a Lotus and it was way better.

As Clarkson would say, it's ambitious but rubbish.

Keep Tanner Foust can the other two losers, and try to get some humor. I thought that I was going to like the show, but I hated it.

it was really terrible. to much editing/cinemetogrophy. not to mention everything they said sounded robotic, and basicly scripted. will watch the whole season, but i really have little hope for this show.

I found it rather fitting that the seeing eye dog took a piss on the Top Gear USA logo at the end of the second episode... lol.

Probably the best summation yet.

No, that's why YOU are watching the show. A lot of people have never heard of Top Gear before, and this is their first experience with this show. So explaining the Stig on the first episode of the first Top Gear USA is completely understandable.

The only episode of the UK Top Gear I've ever seen is where they tried to max out the Veyron, so I can't really compare.

I enjoyed the first US episode immensly, the Viper and the Hipachi (sp?) scene was amazing, and my wifes favorite supercar is the Lambo, so even SHE enjoyed it. But the 2nd episode seemed to be missing something... I agree with an earlier statement that there is no chemistry between the three dudes.

Tanner Faust is a god behind the wheel of a car though... and at this point, he is why I watch the show. Adam's not that funny, and I find the big guy annoying 80% of the time.

In the world (and in my mind) I would say Faust is easily 3rd in my top 5 list of favorite drivers.

1) Travis Pastrana
2) Ken Block
3) Tanner Faust
4) Danica Patrick
5) Colin McRae (RIP)

^ Get to watching BBC Top Gear then. It's so much better.

Having said that, I'll keep trying to watch. I haven't seen the first two episodes fully, only caught snippets. If it doesn't get cancelled, the show will probably be better when the second season comes around.

Yeah I agree. Its totally normal for them to explain the stig and the show in the first episode.

Hahahaha - I knew you would have something to say about that!

I was going to put him in 1st, but I thought it best to choose current drivers... but McRae doesn't even belong on that list really... he has a list all to himself. thumbsup.gif

Oof – I feel obligated to correct that. Apache, as in the Native American tribe. But it wasn't an Apache helicopter it was a Cobra.

And Danica Patrick? She's so overrated. A pretty face, nothing more.

Right, "Cobra Attack" should have been the clue... my bad.

As for Danica, I couldn't agree more. tongue.gif But she has at least established herself as a professional driver in an otherwise "man's world". She might not be the best driver in the world, but I have to respect what she's done for the stereotype, "Women can't drive..."

I enjoyed the second episode for the most part. I thought the evo bit was VERY Top Gear like, and it showed people that don't know about Tanner Foust a bit of his talent. I HATE the other two guys still!

So I know Tanner Foust is obviously into drifting and such, and he's pretty good at what he does so I have no problem with him. But why the other two guys? Apparently the one is a comedian(?)...Really?!

At least the UK Top Gear gang knows what they are talking about. If your going to have a show about cars, at least have enthusiasts hosting. Doesn't seem like they really know much about autos.
