hmm interested mileage and specs on coilovers such as front and rear spring rate with dampening rate for the Front and Rear shocks as well.
I thought the SuperStreet model was the only one made for the SuperStrut Celica. If I remember correctly, the HA are more for track oriented driving only?? -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

bonzai these are machperson coils in the front(just like usdm celicas) and superstrut in the rear(st205). GT-4s convert their front Superstrut configuration to mcpherson to improve handling among other things.

Have you been reading the superstrut threads at all. Superstrut is superior to Mcpherson, guys with gt-4 convert their superstrut to mcpherson for a maintenance free front suspension setup. Basically Yea, that would fall into the "other category" bonzai, as the SS wears out and handles like **** once the bushing are gone, why would you go to SS in the front..that makes absolutely no sense :\... When you have about 6 different canyons to choose from that are all within an hour driving distance and you truly enjoy your celica and want the absolute best out of it you get the best. Have you ever seen the SS-III vs Type R video on youtube. Well they took it down. But seriously go read the superstrut thread. I'm well aware of all the advantages and disadvantages, I'm going to be the only one in the whole U.S. with this setup, being unique is the key. what are the specs on these Tein HA Coilovers, such a front and rear spring rates and dampening for the shock absorbers?! The HA coilovers for the st205 are 10kgs front, and 8kgs rear. They also use a helper spring as opposed to the SS which uses a single spring. To answer your earlier question, the HA's are an entry level track day coilover. They were discontinued and replaced with the SS. The HAs weren't designed to handle the roads in California, so they may be a little harsh for daily driving. Something to look out for on the HAs are the spring perches (they are prone to cracking). Another thing you should be aware of is that the SS coilovers were teflon coated to prevent rust, the HAs were not. The HAs are notorious for rusting. The HAs are listed as having 24 way adjustable dampening, but only the first 16 clicks are usable. Anything past 16 clicks are used only for when servicing the unit. There's no reason to run the dampening that soft anyways if you're looking for HA coilovers in the first place . |
