The GSS-342 fuel pump and 400-765 install kit are the correct Walbro part numbers for our cars that are swapped or turboed.
I bought the GSS-341 since that's what I found to be recommended during a search here, but it's inlet and outlet are reversed compared to our stock pump... Our stock pump looks almost identical to the pump on the left. The Walbro pumps in that picture are identical except that the one on the right has the inlets and outlets offset for use in the MR2 Turbo and Supra TT. That is the only difference between the 341 and 342, they are both 255lph Hi Pressure pumps. I got the GSS-341 to work but it doesn't sit in the pump bracket correctly. A zip tie was added for peace of mind. Also, on the stock fuel pump plug, the blue wire is the positive 12v source. It is to be spliced into the red wire on the Walbro plug. Obviously, the two remaining black wires will be spliced together. If anyone has any advice on how to install the filter retaining clip let me know. I finaly got it to go on but it sure seemed like it was more trouble than it should have been. -------------------- Project ST204.5 99.88946% complete... |

hm.. so stock supra tt pump will be like on the right?
but i thought quite a few people are using them... so i guess there are ways to get things to fit? -------------------- |

I got the GSS-341 to work but it doesn't sit in the pump bracket correctly. A zip tie was added for peace of mind.
[size=2]I also used a zip tie to ensure the pump didn't move from the mount. I started thinging later though, fuel, plastic, maybe not the best mix. Does anyone know if the zip tie should remain in place without melting away from the fuel? |

hm.. does anyone use the gss-315/317?
do we really need the 342/341 since @ low pressure the 315/317/342/341 all perform the same? it's only @ higher pressure that it matters... but our cars are 38-44 stock -------------------- |

I didn't notice a signifcant difference in price so I just went with the better pump. My theory is that if it was designed to work just as well as the other pumps and better at higher pressures then it should have no problem supporting our lower pressures.

actually for the 3s guys, the stock FPR is a 1:1 rising rate FPR, which will cause the the fuel pressure up to ~ 60psi depending on how much boost your running.

back from the dead. when swapping engines from a stock 5sfe engine to a 3sge redtop would you recommend upgrading to a walbro fuel pump??? especially with the fuel pump well over 100,000 miles of usage??

Any performance or gas mileage difference after installing the new pump?? i have had one in my st which is n/a and over a year now and i would say its about the same may help top end just because it supports hi pressure better than stock but other than feeling any gain ... no not really just alot louder than stock... I'm about to buy a Walbro Fuel Pump GSS250 & 400-846 (. Im looking here at the chilton manual and it says stock fuel pressure should be at 38-44psi (265-304kpa)
The Walbro Fuel Pump will be used for 3S-GE Beams Redtop swapped 99 Celica GT. I currently am using the stock pump. So this upgrade to the GSS250 & 400-846 should be sufficient right. I also that that dr tweak on the pheonix tuning website says the 255lph pump comes with the install kit. From the link posted below it also says this comes with an install kit. Will I run into any problems if I buy it from this website, becuase of the install kit? What does the GSS250 & 400-846 mean in the model number. Is that the amount of kpa pressure it can handle. Hey Justin, the 400-846 represents the install kit. The 400-846 install kit includes pick-up filter, a hose, 2 clamps, a washer and is used mostly for Hondas. You will need the 400-765 install kit.

people have said that the 5sfe and 3sge beams fuel pump are the same part numbers. What the 5sfe fuel pump pressure and beams fuel pump pressure??
