today i got around to fitting the splitter, for a starter, it was a great quality finish, but was not a simple fit, first had to hack the top lip off, as the splitter was for a preface 202, then had to chop away some of the corners, and to top it off, had to shorten the whole length by 8 mm as after chopping the lip off to fit, it sat a bit higher and was too long....anywayz here's the pics
the cut and shut job Right side fog light gap Left side Fog light gap and the corners the corners wrap around perfectly, but the middle bit is really bugging me, i'll take some proper picslater and post, personally i think it was a good laugh for a tenner, DAY 2: well, today turned out to be better than last night.....when i went to halfords in the morning, i noticed the lip wasn't exactly "spot on" got some body filler, came back and hacked the lip again to make sure i get a straight finish this time... when i removed the brackets, the trick had worked and the lip was now sitting as i wanted it to fiberglassed the huge gap, and sanded down the excess now that the lip was nice and straight, i decided to re-adjust the foglight corners very niceee.......I likeeee... than i noticed that the silicone from the TRD splitters wasn't letting the lip sit flush with the wings.... so than used bodyfiller to fill the odd bumps here and there.....hardly any filler was left over after sanding once sanded down, i used G5 to take the scratched from the bumper out, used some black paint i had to temporarily cover the filler the finish is nothing less than professional now just going to paint it red and we are done -------------------- |

A YEAR Later
since am gonna be painting the lip, though it'd make it fit a bit better, so broke the fiberglass kit out again still got some sanding to do and then some body filler before painting, after i get bored with the lip i'll be doing the TRD bumper chop  remember the gaps between the lip and the bumper just under the indicators ?? well........... fit is 100% spot on, will be painting it tomorrow painted the lip today, finish is very good, well happy with it, but the paint is a little bit too bright red  the skirts are going to the body shop for some paint, i'll ask the guy to spray some on the lip too  -------------------- |

Ya know, i think i actaully prefer the look of that than the actual eurou gt-four lip like i have on my car, its not as bulky, nice mod.

Yes I agree It looks better than the Euro GT-4 Lip. This custom made lip flows a lot better with the stock 96+ optional side skirts fitted on gt celica and SS-II/SS-III's. where can you buy this lip from??
get some daytime pictures please I really like this one. Undecided with this one vs the C-One Lip anybody have the c-one lip on a red GT-4 This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Dec 18, 2010 - 3:43 AM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts
