wow. i've been excited for alot of the projects i've done over the years here, and have had alot of fun doing so, but i gotta tell ya, this morning, when this package arrived, it was one of the best moments i've ever had while doing this stuff. im excited to show you guys the first "offical" JDM Guy Garage Item (lol), our Optima Battery Tray / Relocation Kit. a few pics of the Battery Tray itself: i had a couple extra hold downs made: The full relocation kit will include:
All the Customer will need to do is install the tray, run the wire, bolt the power cable to the positive battery wire in the engine bay, bolt on whatever battery terminal they choose (we can supply these as well) install the battery, ground it with the supplied ground cable, and make the connections. The Tray by itself will run ~90$ shipped, the complete kit is TBA, im pricing everything out before i set the price. OMG! That's friggin awesome! No joke! It's beautiful! -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204

LMAO! its true, just about everything but the motor ends up on that bench at some point.
fixed the return line, glad i did, too, the line was definetly starting to pinch shut, and folded up pretty good while removing it. a couple pics. most of the damage to the line you see here was from taking it out the damage to the liner this teflon lined stuff is ok, as long as the hose is traveling in a straight line. once you try to bent it and it kinks, you need to remove it and throw it away, cause it permanantly damages it. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

installed the Aerocatch Hood latches today, fun project. lots of pics. ... thank god (for the tons of pics, I mean). I have to attempt this feat sometime early this year and I'm scared sh!tless of drilling my ST205 hood... I couldn't imagine having to do it for a CF hood. But I'm with you, Manny, I love the slick look of these types of locks, I can't wait to see the finished product on mine. Are you going to drill out the remaining 6 holes around the perimeter of the locks too? Another ???; whats the deciding factor for you where you mount the pins on the frame? Strength/Location? Look/Convenience? I know this was on a 5th gen hood, but the 6th Gen has too many bumps and curves in the area that should have the hood pins mounted... I have an idea of where I'm going to mount mine though... I just hope the hood is forgiving enough to let me put them there. Could you do me a favor, and somehow take a vid of you doing the rivets? Someone suggests using rivets, because theres no way I can get the lock washers/bolts to work either; but I have no clue how to do it. If not, I understand... I'm sure I could youtube a demo or something. -------------------- |

Manny, can you get some shots of the hood latches and how high they sit above the hood? They do look really sexy though...very nice.
Also, do you think they'd look good on a 6gc...and how would you place them to go with the 6gc's hood? -------------------- Has no more Celicas

I just hope the hood is forgiving enough to let me put them there. I don't see where you could put these on a GT4 hood - I had a hard enough time placing my pins on my GT4 hood so that they don't pop through one of the light humps or the center bulge. Also, do you think they'd look good on a 6gc...and how would you place them to go with the 6gc's hood? same as above. You guys can look at my recent hood install for pics of where mine went - that's the only decent looking place I can think of. The 5th gen has a fairly smooth hood - superb install P - as always This post has been edited by DEATH: Jan 8, 2011 - 11:03 PM -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. It all looks really good thus far but i have to ask, why didn't you guys power wash/clean up the engine bay before the swap? jim didnt have time to touch the car before he brought it to me, and this engine will be coming back in not too long for a built motor setup. all that stuff will get done then, im just getting paid to do the swap and get this one running for now. we're hoping to get jims bay looking like the last swap we did in the JDM Guy Garage : http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a57/presu...mview=slideshow -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

so can I ask you, why are you painting a CF hood?.. it looks amazing with the CF, it breaks the black up Cause alot of us don't like the look of CF and a clean black car shines in ways no other car does. Take it from someone with a really shiny black car that had an off-color hood - it never looks as good as an all black car does This post has been edited by DEATH: Jan 9, 2011 - 11:18 PM -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them.
