Hey guys/gals, so being a member of 6gc for years now, who should I trust more than you guys to help me pick my next car. And believe me, I love my car but being from Cincinnati (center of the most random weather) I am needing a moderately low mileage, nice, awd (for the crazy winters) and intro-luxury(compared to the celica) lol car. I was particularly interested in the 6speeds options because the car will be making some trips to visit friends. SOOO VOTE ON!!
Oh, and if I am missing something I should consider please let me know. thanks. This post has been edited by cjh4l22: Jan 19, 2011 - 11:58 PM -------------------- proud =3sgte SWAPPED= '95 Celica ST owner [calling it the GT2 or half-trac]

I can vouch that the 2005 a4. 1.8t is a solid car. Never had any issues with mine and I drive it everyday. Owned it for bout year and a half.
I've never driven the v6 but I've heard good things about them as well This post has been edited by mak5603: Jan 20, 2011 - 12:24 AM -------------------- 2006 BMW 330i - 6 Speed - Dinan Stage 1

i voted the v6 a4. non turbo cars have less parts that can go wrong. volvo and audi are hard and expencive to get parts for. so that is the reason i voted the A4 v6

None of the above.... so make a suggestion...? x2... IS300. They are quite peppy out of the box. They are a sport sedan with the "semi-luxuries" that you are probably looking for. If you look for a 2002+ you can even find them in a manual. I mean c'mon, its a LEXUS! AAAAND, when you're board with a 2JZGE, then swap in a VVTi 2JZ Aristo. Insta-boost! -------------------- www.tweakdperformance.com

i agree with player..is250..
audi's arent all that great..way too much work and you dont want to deal with the allen nutz and bolts.. unless you get a m3 and send it off to horsepower freaks to make it a beast. -------------------- |

Insta-boost! great idea, except only the new new ones have AWD... You don't want an audi/vs....im in that world its a hassle. Get an IS250 like i said above... i agree with player..is250.. audi's arent all that great..way too much work and you dont want to deal with the allen nutz and bolts.. unless you get a m3 and send it off to horsepower freaks to make it a beast. x's 3. ONLY Problem is... I don't have $18k for a 2006+ IS250 AWD because I was planning on spending more like <$12k thanks though. I have also considered subaru's but they hold their value really well so its tough to find low miles, early-mid '00's in my price range. Suggestions are very much appreciated. and no on the alltrac v6. (although i have a similar swap idea) -------------------- proud =3sgte SWAPPED= '95 Celica ST owner [calling it the GT2 or half-trac]

I'd try to find a Subaru Legacy GT. Driven both those and the Mazdaspeed 6, and the Legacys just seemed better IMO. I did a real quick craigslist search in my area and found a couple 05s in the $13k range.
How low of miles are you looking for? -------------------- 1999 Celica GT

I'm being pretty flexible... saying up to 60k possibly in the 60's if its had some particularly good maintenance (oil/water/timing belt for the Audi's) -------------------- proud =3sgte SWAPPED= '95 Celica ST owner [calling it the GT2 or half-trac]

I would go with the A4 with the 1.8t, i have a 05 jetta gli turbo that holds 21 pounds strong with just a couple of bolt-ons and a good tune, only downside its a volkswagon lol, they can tend to have some reliability issues.
