I'm not a member but I know they will sell to the public people of MN my friend used to work for them told me they move the cars around with forklifts...and yes most of their cars are totaled or flooded cars with salvage titles recommended for parts only plus some workers steal stuff from the car before being sold from what I've heard misc sensors and parts but I guess it just depends on which lot you buy from maybe ??

You should be able to pick the cars up. I'm seeing twp Celicas in Knoxville and a Celica in Nashville. I'm now looking at buying one and possibly parting it out.

By the way, I'm a member.

Sounds good. I'm on here pretty much every day.

It has not occurred yet. In order to buy certain vehicles from Copart, you need a dealer's license. Since I'm not a car dealer, I can't buy just any car on there. The one I want, I need a license to buy. Fortunately, I'm related to one car salesman and if that doesn't work, I could talk another into buying the car for me.

My friend's stepdad bought a Corvette that was T boned and totaled but the LS1 was still FRESH. So he bought it super cheap through copart and parted it for way more.

Yes, there are some filters u can use to buy cars with no license required. Its the easiest way to get the parts u are looking for..

It's free to sign up. But you either have to have a salvage (not dealer) license to buy, or you have to buy through a broker. The brokers aren't a bad deal. It's like a $400 security deposit, then another $200 for the transaction fee. Plus the cost of the car. You get the $400 back.

what kind of brokers are we talking about, and what about the cars that dont need a license. Do we need a broker?

might as well document this here, for everybody...

Essentially, those cars are all salvage titles and according to the government, they should never be on the road, ever again. So in order to buy them, you have to have a salvage license, not a dealer license. But there are a list of brokers on Copart with the salvage license that are willing to buy the cars then turn around and sell them to you for a fee. The usual fees I'm seeing are a $400 safety deposit that will be returned, and between $200-400 for them to buy the car for you.

However, not all of the cars on Copart are salvaged. A few are for sale by the public. Those cars can be purchased by anybody, without a license. There are currently 2 6gc's on Copart that will be sold without a license. One is a GT hatch in Atlanta, GA with 357k miles.

You might be able to get a local junkyard to buy a car from Copart for you if you know the right people. I am waiting on my income tax return, then I'll likely be paying one of the brokers to get a car for me.
