Buy whatever wheels you like. WHO CARES if they're replicas or the real deal. No one is going to care or remember that you spent $2,000 on a set of wheels and no one is going to care or remember that you spent $500 on a set of wheels. Buy whatever wheels you want - or buy whatever wheels you can afford. No one is judging you based on the wheels you buy - and I'm positive Rays is not going out of business because someone copied their wheels - you have two completely different audiences there. There are people (myself included) who can't justify buying a set of new wheels that are $600+ each that would buy the Rota's and other people who can justify paying the price for the Ray's will buy the Ray's - both companies stay in business, and both sides of the spectrum continue this stupid debate of which wheels are better.

Either way, there will always be the elitist clowns on this site and other sites with a $2,000+ set of wheels on a car that blue books at $4,000 belittling anyone who bought inferior ROTA or Konig wheels.

EDIT: You also failed to realize Konigs are only on my 6gc..which i have 3 sets of wheels for, don't even talk because you don't even know the wheels that are on my other cars...not Konig's or Rota's...

Dude...your an idiot, I said nothing about Konig in the last post. I never said anything bad about your 6gc (which I like because it is a lot like mine used to be) so you don't need to say "dont worry about" I just said you are kind of an ass for talking crap about my black celi that looks a lot like yours, grats on getting a GT4. Hopefully when you get it you will have enough passion to spend some real cash on wheels. If not, cool, it doesn't matter BECAUSE MY OPINION SHOULDN'T MATTER TOO YOU.

Honestly this is beyond the argument i wanted to get into. I apologize. But seeing that you had konigs (Which are not that far off if not the same quality as rotas) on your 6gc, i guess the advice that i was "assuming" you would've wanted to give him was "Go with what style you want that's within your budget". To each their own. Let's put a halt to this mess please. I'm sorry for making an d1ckwad out of myself. Cool beans? cool beans.

Like I said, I literally thought by the title of the thread and the comment I saw when I clicked "last post" that this thread was deciding between Works or Rotas. Which is why I said what I said. Despite what my wheels are, Works are still baller and Rotas are still replicas, are they not? Thats, all my post said. It didnt say "Get works, because they remind me of my konigs which are super baller and nothing like rotas" in which case I would understand why you would have the right to "blow up on me" but I never said that. A person can have an opinion despite what they have. I could be rollin on steelies and still like works more than rotas. Just like I can be on Konigs and still admit there are 50 other wheels I'd like to be on. Just like I can be on Konigs and say I like works more than rotas.Because its all opinion.

But like you said, I didn't see it ending up like this...but yeah man, I'm cool and just wanna put a halt to this.

not trying to add fuel to this but think of the difference between rotas and work meisters as buying a replica bodykit (ie. zyclone front bumper) versus buying an authentic C-ONE front bumper. one is merely a copy of the other, with the more expensive one usually having better quality. it's up to you (the OP) to balance the two wheel choices and look at the cost:benefit ratio between one and the other.

but some other factors to consider that will help you decide which is best:
-the combination of diameter, width, offset with a 5x100 pcd that suits your preference
-availability of preferred wheel style and wheel characteristics (as stated above)
-wheel weight (of course, lighter is better)
-forged vs non-forged
-centerbore (hub-centric for quick installation and ensures rim is properly mounted to prevent wheel vibrations)
-compare the max load the rim can support (usually stamped on the inside of the wheel) (higher is better and is less likely to warp when curbed, but also heavier)

so do a bit of research and compare... then decide which is worth buying.

Wow this thread has gone way off topic, I was just wondering if anyone were running these style wheels and if so I would have liked to see them. I know that some wheels may be sh***y, but im just in the market for a good looking set of wheels that wont break the bank. Im doing this for looks only and I dont plan on doing any racing or whatever else you can do to put a beating on your wheels. Yes I would love to be able to buy a set of legit wheels, but unfortunately I am not as funded as a lot of you guys here on 6gc that are able to do what you guys want to do.
