Ok guys, now all we need is someone to bring some wood and we can start on building that boat and test it's buoyancy. We've got the hammer and enough water to do so already. We will get two 10 minute breaks in which we will be able to eat chips and stare at JDM goodness. This meet is just falling into place laugh.gif

Right now, I'm going to go ahead and say that signs are pointing towards SoCal. Here are my reasonings.

1. SoCal will be warmer this time of year.
2. It seems like it would be a bit more convenient for lil-joe101 to drive to SoCal, than it would be for him to drive all the way up to NorCal.
3. From what I understand, most of the out of state members are staying in SoCal during this meet.

I think in the end it's going to come down to how many SoCal members vs NorCal members sign up for this meet. We usually tend to have 2-3 times the number of SoCal members, which is why the SoCal meets have always been larger by default. If we have Foty in SoCal, then Moty will be NorCal, or vise versa.

I'll bring the major stuff like charcoal, cooking utensils, canopy, etc. Basically what everyone else will forget to bring.

I'm super busy with work, so haven't looked into the details of the meet...but yeah, SoCal seems good. Saturday most likely. Spring date. I'll need to know how many people will be attending before committing to shirts and attendance give-aways.

So let's here it from people about there spring break schedules.

Hear* God nam...sometimes i really worry about you...
My spring break is april 18-23, and then im out on may 21st. But i dont have any friday class so really any weekend is good for me. I think the later the better, but then we run the risk of it being hot again.

The whole town smells of poo, and the house smells like poo too. So much poo, I cannot subject anyone to the poo smell. I myself have had to adapt to the poo situation. Because of my environment, I have mutated and lost the ability to smell. However with the loss of my sense of smell, my other senses were heightened. I now have DareDevil like abilities, and can spot a Celica from many miles away. I can leap across building roof tops and hear a pin drop from the busy streets below. Ever since my relocation to this poo town, I have become MaskedMan v2.0.

The drive from NorCal to Socal (and back up to NorCal) does suck, but a common misconception is that I actually live close to what people would consider the usual SoCal laugh.gif. I do live in SoCal, but in order to get to my area, you have to drive South and then East for awhile. You guys don't wanna drive out this way. It will make your drive back home even worse. Here's the math I just did in my head...

It is about a 100 miles from the meet location (est.) to my place. So that's 200 miles there and back to where you started. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, and say that your car does 30mpg. Estimated gas price at the time will be $3.50. So $3.50 x 3.5 is $12.25, x2 = $24.50 per car in gas, to drive from the meet location, to my house, and back to the meet location. If there are 3 of you traveling in 3 separate cars, then the cost of gas will need to be multiplied by 3. So this comes out to a total of $73.50. And that is if all 3 of your cars are making 30mpg, but I assume your cars will be heavier if you packed stuff to bring to the meet (ie food, drinks, clothes, bitches, hoes, GFs, hookers [err I mean call girls]), so your mpg will drop slightly from what you may be used to. For $73.50, you could split a hotel room and maybe even get 2 beds. Heck, if you had a 4th person chip in, then you might even get beds without suspicious stains on them (might). Getting a hotel room in the area will also save you some driving time. Just something to consider smile.gif.

Just a reminder for everyone. Make sure you have a front license plate on your car laugh.gif. I got a fix it ticket for it at the last meet, and even though I got it written off, it still cost me $25 for a processing fee and I had to go to the CHP office. Even if you are from out of state, these rules still apply to you, as I've been ticketed for no front plate on a car that had Pennsylvania plates in the rear. Can you fight it in court? Of course you can, but if you're from out of state, do you really want to come back to California to fight a $25 ticket? I've also been pulled over several times for no front plate when my car was still registered in Ohio. Better to be safe than sorry. If you're worried your car will look "uncool" in pics because having a front license plate is "whack", then take your plate off your car once you arrive at the meet destination smile.gif.

joe, keep us updated with your progress. Your attendance is important to us smile.gif
