Hey all, I'm having a bit of a problem lining up the u notch on the cam pully every time I set the crank to 0btdc and adjust the cam pully so it align with the "u" notch after taking the tension pully off loose mode then rotating the crank 720degree back to 0btdc to make sure they stay line up but the cam pully is always off the u notch by a couple of teeths ?? Anybody know why this is happening ?? I changed the belt last spring and didn't have this problem before.

all the slack has to be on the tensioner side of things, so that when the tensioner engages the belt its only taking slack...not moving the belt.

check the tension on the belt.

Tension is nice and tight when I rotate the crank even tried the "tension trick" the cam and other pullys rotates normal too.

Nothing moves when I loosen the belt back to tight I know when you spin the crank you'll loose about 5degress just when you turn the crank I even tried the tension trick where I line up the crank and the cam pully take the belt off the cam pully rotate the crank back 5degrees counter-clockwise then put the belt back on the cam pully making sure Its still at the "u" notch then turn the crank 5degrees clockwise back to 0btdc to help tighten the belt but still when I rotate the crank 720 degrees to make sure everything is still lined up the cam will be off a couple of teeths been playing around with this for an hour now and still nothing. I have the no.1 spark plug out just to make sure the piston is at the top center all the pullys spin just fine no noises or anything and the cam pully spins clockwise like normal it just won't stay lined up at the "u" notch..?
