I'm about to order an intake for my car, and I'm not sure which to go with.

The HKS one is $120 more, but is it worth the extra?

I just put back my factory intake box and the butt dyno tells me its better than the K&N pod filter mounted on a 3" stainless pipe

no turbo spoolup noise, no intake roar though frown.gif

Even the intake tube? I didn't see one in the picture... of course, it might've been a stock photo.

I have a drop in filter and removed my resonator box

here is why,
READ !!

there was another article about it made by a US based magazine, but I can't find it.

as long as the filter is not clogged with dirt, it'll yield the same power, be quieter and look cleaner. all stuff that I want in my bay.

For me it is simple... I had HKS intake on my previous car and EVERYONE who saw it just noticed "it is good for performance but bad for engine because filtration of HKS filters is poor". That is why I have decided on ST205 to use Apexi kit. So when someone ask me which one to choose: HKS or Apexi? I can say: I had both and now using Apexi. Guess why? wink.gif

Thats right the reason why i went for the apexi is because i saw the article that reviews a bunch of intakes. The apexi came out on top for power and filtration. Its a plus that it is a pure japan product too.

Filters I've tried:
Apexi (Current)
Weapon R
Fujita
Injen
Generic Ebay
