I'm considering buying a turbo timer, am actually thinking about buying the HKS Type one, because of the digital tach and speedo. Does anyone have this installed and use all the features?

had it on my st185 (check http://www.turbocelica.lv ) i had the previous generation (ugly looking)
awesome unit by all means and highly recommend over the type-0 ! other brands dont come even close unless the function is included in aftermarket ECU..
go ahead and buy it. also get the harness which makes it 2x ieasier to set up, but if u cant get it, dont worry, its not hard to wire it up =) i received wrong adapter, the seller offered to exchange it for the correct version, but i didnt bother as it took me just 30 mins to figure out which wires to splice/connect..

That leads to my next question, I wonder if anyone on here can tell me which wires to tap into for the RPM and the Speedometer. It easy to splice just gotta know which wires to splice

I have the TT-4 adapter for my car. I found the speed sensor on the ecu pinout chart, but which wire to tap into for the rpm?

Look for "Tach" wire. May not be labelled "RPM".

Well there is another way instead of going to the ecu, run a wire into the engine bay and grab the tach signal from the bay instead of the ECU. Other option if needed.
