Hey guys,
It's time to get my car inspected and the airbag light is on. I will probably just pull the SRS WARN fuse for now just to pass. But I would like to eventually fix the problem. When I check the code I get code 31. I looked this up and it is for a malfunction center sensor. Some history... I bought my celi "as is" 4 years ago from a teenager who had smashed the crap out of it. It was in a front end collision and was rear ended as well. Surprisingly the airbags were never deployed. I have fixed all the damage are replaced the body panels(did the gt4 conversion) but now I have the airbag code. Where is the center sensor? I know that the ECU is under the armrest, is this the center sensor as well? Sorry for my ignorance, I know very little about the airbag system. Thanks, -rivs |

There are three sensors to my knowledge. Two of them are in the front left and right of the engine bay, on either side of the radiator. The other is underneath the center console, behind the e-brake. I would presume that since the one in the center console is between the other two, it would be the center sensor

I thought that the module under the center console was the airbag ecu. |

yes. The SRS ECU is also the center sensor.
