Embedded Scion logo can be done away with by shaving the hatch or replacing it.

Keep in mind kiddies that those are drawings, not actual pictures. I'm banking on some of that crap to go away.

Watching the ticker at sciondimension.com.... I'm a nerd.

I can pretty much guarantee you that the headlights, rear lights, and mirrors will be different on the production version. Not so much in shape, as far as the lights go, but definitely will have projectors with HID, maybe some LED accents, since that's all the rage.

I was under the assumption that they were unveiling the actual production model today - not a third concept.

Dislike.

This could look 95% like the production model. However, things like headlights, taillights, wheels, and side mirrors are often changed compared to the first unveiling (which this is for Scion). This isn't the production model, they have to change things to meet DOT standards, in the least. Not to mention the standards of all other countries it's being sold in. In Japan it'll probably be a Toyota FT-86. Here in the states, Scion FR-S. Sh!t happens. I'm starting to save for the down payment now. Maybe it'll be for the Scooby though.

And what is there to dislike about it, exactly? The design is quite pretty, it's a RWD coupe.

I guess I gotta start stripping/parting the car.

Like what ^^ said, I caught some Non-DOT and missing pieces on the car. This one better be affordable......still kinda iffy about the motor though.

The video is up on their site.
It will be a 2.0l NA with 6speed manual. They directly said the car was inspired by the ae86 and the over all focus was to achieve the same balance as the original 86.

So it will probably be slow in a straight, but great at autox or drift events.

Its cool to see that toyota realizes how great the 86 was and wants to bring it back. I just wish there was a turbo model as well.

As much as I am against it being badged a Scion, I hope this thing sells well. I'm hoping that if it does, it'll open the door for other "inspired" cars.
