I was parked at a dead stop. Guy reversed into me from the opposite side, said he never saw me or heard my horn.

We did the usual cop report thing, so I have to wait for that to come back and see what happens. I might let his insurance handle it and pay for everything, or I could take a fat check and fix it myself.

Is it any worse than caved-in fender and smashed low beam? If not, I say fix it yourself. You'll be able to find the parts a lot cheaper than the dumbasses who will fix it can.

decided it would be a fantastic idea to climb under the celi and take a look at the now obvious front crank seal leak in the middle of a thunderstorm after the car ate through 4 quarts of oil in about 4 days (of barely being driven) and threw up the oil pressure light..... FAIL.

The hood is fine for sure, there is no damage to the wheel or suspension on that corner either. I'll take the fender off and look around, but there should be nothing to the frame, it was a <10 MPH impact. The housing on the headlight is still intact, and it actually still functions, but the lens is FUBAR'd, meaning I definitely need that. I'm going to try to milk projectors out of this somehow though. The fender might be toast, it's very crunched. The side marker is still fine, as far as I saw. Lastly, the corner of the bumper right under the headlight is slightly bent, but I think that can be massaged out. If anything, I think it's just pinched in.

Good stuff. You were luckier than me with my front-fenderish impact.

Ferdi, I just saw this and it ruined my morning mate. I'd say if the guy's insurance gives you a check now might be the time to go JDM fenders and projectors if you can manage it. I do hope it's fixed quickly and she's back to her lovely self soon.

Today I realized just how much my car enjoys it being warm. The other day it was really warm out, my tranny stopped acting up and I managed 130 miles on a 1/4th of a tank. Today it was back to cold, and now I'm at 1/4th a tank with only 260 miles and my tranny is started to act up a lil bit again. I did enjoy not needing my windshield wipers in the down pour though, gotta love RainX.
