Couldn't care less. A few guys hit the nail on the head. I was expecting an actual production car, not another concept. I can't say I like this one.

yes
gtfour would be awesome. but probably not in this life. the weir thing is that they had 2 concepts as toyota and this scion version beats them down like sh~t. of course the mirrors and big diffuser show that its just a concept in its early stages, but the design lines are so beautiful.. wth. http://www.facebook.com/frsscion -------------------- 1994 MR2 SW20, 1990 Celica ST185, both 3SGTE

agree? Yeh, you could be right. The proportion of the rear glass size, space between glass and true "end" of the trunk, and the size of the rear window and placement does look awfully familiar to our 6GCs. As I said...so sexy.
I think this showing just hooked me completely as long as it weighs around what the 6th gen does, pushes 200HP at a minimum, and costs around 22~23k base. It's gonna be nice coming outside to see this next to my 6th gen. This post has been edited by Keiri: Apr 21, 2011 - 7:22 AM -------------------- Has no more Celicas

No door handles? I suppose I open the car with hopes and dreams... It's not a production car... why isn't this sinking in? needs a gt four version No. RWD only. Not everything Toyota does needs to be GT-Four. STI swap. Probably won't have to if there's a Subaru STi version. Thank you. I'm not sure why people are expecting what rolls out of the factory to be on display the first time it has a Scion badge. I'm aware it isn't a production model - I'm just beating a dead horse.

it's not a production model, but how far would the production model be from the current concept? after having 3 concepts made, I think we all have an idea of what the production model is going to be like. imo, the design has been progressively getting better and better. this current design reminds me a bit of the 6gc as previously stated as well as it has a mix of hyundai genesis and ferrari 458 italia mixed in it.

Like I said, all DOT-specific things will change. The heads, tails, turn signals, wheels, handles, side mirrors etc.

Might have to sell the Audi and get one! Although 3 Toyota two doors probably won't sit well with the lady...

Too slow. Shame, it's really pretty, but i need more than that. Hopefully the EU Toyota or Subaru versions will have a proper engine. -------------------- |

They will have turbo kits for these trust me especially when the fwd tc has the trd supercharger as an option..... they designed these for race in mind so really the n/a might be a good thing......higher revs, like the ceo said its a circuit track car......but sadly im sure a bunch of young morons are going to buy these and think they are tokyo drifters and ram these into trees........ Looks hot, would I buy it, hell yeah. My wife asked me if I would sell all the stuff I got for my celica and stop the project If I were to buy one,.......I said hell nooooooo gives me more of a reason to continue building the celica just so I can beat these at the track. but still that things looks siiiick |

Insurance on modifications like that in the UK is just stupid. I would be paying $2500 + per year for something like that, and i'm over 30. -------------------- |

Since you saw it in person, whats the deal with the rear brakes? I looked at some pics on other forums, and well, they look like they are not there. BTW, nice pics.

I didn't actually take a gander at the brakes, but it wouldn't surprise me if the hardware isn't there. I'm pretty sure there's no motor/tranny or anything really to the car. It is, after all, still in concept form.
It's a bit much in person. I personally could stand it being toned down a bit for its production run. -------------------- |
