Drove from San Francisco to Aspen and it was snowing most of the way through the Sierras and northern Nevada. But the old Celica handled fine. Next up: Aspen to Chicago, then Chicago to Boston on Friday.

Spent the better part of 2 days stripping the parts car and took it to the scrap yard today, made $210 bucks off literally just the shell, everything else had been stripped lol

While waiting for the flywheel to come back; I thought I would buy a new front bumper...

 luckily noone was at the busstop and I didn't hit anyone else during the spun out, I'm perfectly fine but chassis of the car is bent so another one bites the dust --------------------  |

sadly it is,
I was on the left lane on route 17, when a white SUV in hte middle lane, cut me off, I touched the brakes and the car hydroplaned and spun out, hit hte curb, took a bus stop shelter off and came to a stop, after I got the car home I inspected and seems like the chassis is pretty damaged, the rear hatch has gaps on both sides and closes crocked, so I'm assuming tomorrow the insurance guy will total it. in any case, before anyone ask, no I wont part the car out, I will buy it back from the insurance company and try to find a clean shell to start over. -------------------- |
