I'm probably going to change out my map sensor but I'm just wondering how many bars or psi it can actually handle when the engine is turbo'd. If it works on the stock genIII turbo then I'll probably keep it. What about the stock supra map sensor? anyone know how many bars/psi it can handle?

the 5S MAP sensor will confuse the 3S-GTE ECU and the engien will not run properly. just do it right.

I'm running an Autronic SM4, so I can use whatever sensor I want.

so it looks like you will be able to tune in about 6 or 7 pounds? tho the tune cost more enough to make it worth doing it once and doing it right tho?

I can tune it, I went through tuning school and I've played around with aftermarket EMS's before but it's not my job, I'm just a regular mechanic so I use the autronic forums for help a lot. I can street tune it with the streettuner software or run the autotune function of the autronic and then tweak that. It's not that bad, costs me nothing smile.gif
