ok so i would like to know? has anyone seen a 3sgte in a scion tc... thats a build i would really like to do. but i wonder if that transmission will bolt up because i know its a 6speed and i think are 3sgte engine with 6 gears would be bada**.... i know they have the trd supercharged one.. but lol i dont want that crap i hate superchargers they sound like a baby crying nothing beats the spool sound of a turbo charged car. so does anybody know if it will fit or what other cars are engine will fit into i know it fits in the 2000 model celica but i think those are ugly

the 3s does not fit the 2000+ celica. ALOT of custom fabrication went into making that car work. A TC would be equally difficult to convert. Cars aren't lego's, things dont just fit together so easily.

a 3sgte does fit in a 2000+ celica i have two friends that have a 3sgte in a 01 celica. and have seen alot of them with 3sgte in there...and trust me i know it takes alot work. ive turned my 96 st celica into a 3sgte ST215 monster


and i dont know these people these arent my friends but just to show u.. you dont know what you are talking about i got these off the web so like i said a 3sgte does fit in a 2000+ celica... i know what im talking about i just dont run my mouth

here we go, yes we all know its been done. Fensport has their 7th gen gt4, which is what i had in mind when i said 'that car'. No one said it was too big, only that it wasn't plug and play. Hell with enough money anything can fit into anything. If you have to ask a question like 'will the 6spd bolt up to the 3s' then you're no where near ready to take on such a project. Not only that, anyone with an st215 swap under their belt shouldn't even have to ask a question like that.

what are u talkin about no one said it was to big.... you clearly said IT DOESN'T FIT... and just so u know to big is in the category of it doesn't fit......and have you ever taking a 3s of any kind took a scion tc transmission and tried to bolt it up?...... a scion is not a v6 or v8 it is a 4 banger.. so i dont know what you are even talking about... point two and if u know anything about a 3s you know a v6 tranny will bolt up to one. .........................................so what does a tree have to do with a plane.......................................................

dude... you asked if a 3s fits into a 2000 celica. I said it doesn't, not without fabrication. If you have the skills and the money then you can fit any engine into any car, whether or not its practical in another matter entirely. Use the search and you'll find out what motors fit and what has been done. Save your nerves for more important things.

CLOSE AND LOCK this thread....going nowhere unless this guy put it to good use and make it happen. then again...this belongs to the SCION site not 6GC even if the "engine would-be" is a 3sgte in the 6gc family (irrelevant to 6gc.net site)

thats the stupidest thing ive heard all day. seeming how it is a 3s engine.....so its clearly relevant to the 6gc site. and if this is the case nun of us with a 3s swaps in the u.s.a needs to be on this site.we need to be on the 6gc 3s swap site right? ..... and the reason ive asked this question. is because unlike yall two. there are PEOPLE ON THIS SITE WITH 6G 3S SWAP THAT HAVE OTHER CARS WITH A 3S ENGINE IN IT...so why would i go to a scion site where most of them might not even know what a 3s is let alone know how to do a 3s swap. yeah i could go there and ask but when you expand your source of information the outcome is better. so no im on the right site. what would have been smart of you to say is you should of put this in off topic. because what you said up there made you look reall stupid, and i quote"even if the engine would be a 3sgte in the 6g family (irrelevant to the 6gc.net site)"<====thats what you said and it was STUPID.... if its a 3s question, it is more than relevant to the site. and i guess everybody needs to go to a mr2 site and ask them, how to put a e153 transmission in a celica........................................ so now what is irrelevant is two people with no 3s swap talking to me........why are you even in forced induction anyways?????????.....yall need to be in the SLOW N/A section..... so right now yall are wanna be's and im what yall want to be so when you get a 3s then we will finish this convo..............................GUD BYE NOW! and yall have a very nice day or night..................

.........................I dont know why most of yall people on here love to start a argument. here i was asking a question. i did not need anybody's bad or negtive input... if you dont know the answer to the question why even post a comment.2nd if u never even done a 3s swap or 6g swap why even bother to answer this question. i dont care how much crap you have read.everyone knows thats done a 3s swap heck any swap that when u actually do a swap its more to it then what you have read. yes this is a 6g site but however there is no 3s swap site. which is why ive brought my question here. the question i have asked today is for users who have done a 3s swap and maybe have done it in another none celica car to. the reason ive put this in this section and not in off topic is because it was a 3s question. and i really just wanted to know what OTHER cars this engine will fit in and has anybody ever tried to put it in another car..... so please no more negtive input.. if you cant answer the question please dont comment. i know most of yall are under age but please dont bring your high school drama to my thread

there doesn't need to be a 3s swap site because the 6gc originally came with a 3s in other countries.

your question truly belongs on a TC site with only cross-referencing specific engine components. It is common for members here to post on some MR2 sites, but mainly for the purpose of the engine.

what your asking is like if I were to ask if the 3s would fit into my 07 Tacoma. This site is very application specific.

A 3s in a TC would have its own merit, but it is not something that you can expect to find the right answer asking here.

B, I'm only gonna say this once.
The name calling better stop. The only one who's acting like a highschooler here is you.
The 3s will not bolt into a 7th gen, or tc for that matter without major fabrication.
And I'm not talking about drilling 2 pre marked holes for an engine mount.

this first picture is not 3s engine , i think its 5s turbo.... u are weird man
but it still the same mounth anyway, my bad...

^^^ Wrong! that most certainly is a 3S-GTE with a custom intake manifold.

there is no reason to put such old technology in a TC. the factoyr TC engine LOVES BOOST!!!!!!!! just turbo it.

It could be a 3S-GTE, but then it's a 2nd gen. If so, the valvecover is not right. The oilvapor breather pipe is pointing downward. On a gen 2, it's in a straight line.
I vote for turbo'd 5S-FE

the valve cover alone appears to be a 3sgte from an MR2. the upper timing belt cover shows signs that it's a 2nd gen. so there ya go.

he clearly came on my thread talking crap... so whatever.... and i know it is not a bolt in. there for i know fabrication. is needed............ he said it wouldn't fit.... in my eyes when someone says something doesn't fit, it means its TO BIG.. there for thats why i put up the picture to show him a 3s WILL FIT! in a 7gen........which means it is not to big....

FIRST OF ALL THAT IS A 3S ENGINE.. learn your engines
