This isnt really a wide body, it just has over sized horrible looking fender flares. A wide body is actually using metal and widening the lines of the car, not just sticking fiberglass on and filling in the gap with foam and bondo.

Well thats where your wrong im definetly not filling gaps with foam an bondo thats not how i do things the fenders and rear quarter panels are coming out about 2 more inches than the original body and the fenders are being completely fabricated out of fiber glass and seporated from the original i dont know where u got ur info from but you couldnt be more wrong on that the wide body portion of this has not quite started yet read the post before making statements like that one an another thing the part about using metal for that purpose that is one way i guess but not the only

Way too wide for me, and not a fan of the over exaggerated fender flares.

I'd be down for like 25mm wide body in the front and 35mm in the back...nothing more though. Gotta be able to fit wheels otherwise it looks ridiculous.

Looking good though, you are very good at customization. I would love to see a clean wide body kit available for people looking for a more aggressive Celica.

edit: I like the blue car above, something like that would be sweet.

If your pulling the METAL on the fenders out 2" then why do you have the god awful flares on there? My "info" comes from the pictures you posted of a stock body celica with fender flares taped on... Or are these flares just a mold for fiberglass?Again in which case its not a real "widebody.

THIS is how a real widebody is built:

Notice the lack of masking tape and fiberglass.

Yeah im using the oe ones to make a mold for the wider fenders with flares but flares still need to be reworked and cut im not happy with the look but a work in pregress is a work in progress
