so i got a question. can we buy gt-4's from canada yet. we can now right?

Negative! 25 years rule now, since Canada and USA are now open to sales between countries.
So dude, you have to buy one already in Canada : Mine for example I would sell it if I can get a reasonable price for it

I'd totally take it off your hands in any reasonable condition if I knew a way to get it into Australia! The ST205 is quite rare here, you see them listed form time to time for around $20K and up... TBH at that price I'd much rather get myself a Mitsubishi GTO (I think you guys might know them as a 3000GT or Dodge Stealth...?)

I wish we could buy and drive a GT4 from New Zealand... I hear they are even rarer over there but I've seen them listed at 5K less than what they go for in Oz, then when you take into account the exchange rate, they're almost half the price.

Aye, you're right for the stealth / 3000gt, I would definitely trade my GT4 for a GTO AWD TT, parts are easier to find!

2 years and the total inclusive spend on the GT4 is higher than the initial buy price of an R32 GTR Skyline

Exept that the R32 would have been stolen 5 times by now. One of the highest theft rates for those over here

I thought there were like 77 gt4's in New zealand

ive seen quite a few just in auckland so i'd say alot more lol. if that was true it would mean that Quidam has 1/38th of nz's gt4 population here in nz by having 2

Nope you can't, and we can't either...but the law used to be 15 years...but we went up to 25 years. Mine was imported before the law was established.
But if someone offers me a decent price, I would let it go

The law in USA is 25 years before you can import a car from japan.

import to mexico from japan to a free trade zone remove engine put engine in your truck , tow car across border as parts and hope you live in a state where its easy to register also hope customs dont catch wind, but probly be easier to get one from canada that was in a minor accident and import as parts as another user has done, just my thoughts on it oh and for some reason 1991 mr2's (ONLY 91'S) can be imported from what i researched, as there on the exempt list i believe as is some hondas and other vehicles

I bought side skirts off one the dudes with a wrc gtfour. He was like 18 :\

canada haven't adopted any 25 year rule for import vehicles.
We are still at 15 year old so GT4 are still being imported.
