Im looking to buy xxr 521s in 17x7 with 38 offset and will be running on 215/45R17's. What width are the spacers i would need to be flush to the fenders rear and front?

35 mm rear and 25 mm front.

i def wouldn't do it though. find a set of 17x8 35 offset with 215/45/17's. it will look better and you'll get a bit better traction. and you can use smaller spacers to get flush.

I know, but it's just for the moment. It's not my final setup, I'm just sick of having my Oem wheels and tire setup. I'm fwd with a 5sfe, no need to have ''traction'' for now, there's no power to handle.
Later when I'll swap a 3sgte and do a Rwd conversion then I will get 245's on 17x9 rear and 235's on 17x8.5 front with the appropriate spacers. But for now it'll just be fine.

But I'm not dropped though ftm, you sure it's the right spacer width? But what does it change for the distance between the wheel and the fender to sit lower? Is it because it changes the steering/suspention setup a little which moves the wheel further into the fenders?

everyone's definition of flush is different. the numbers in this guide are not even close to flush.

i really don't like how Wannabe had different numbers for standard and lowered ride height, especially because he didn't say how low. some members are lowered 0.5" while others are lowered over 3". the difference is as you go lower you get more negative camber, so therefore not as flush. this can be corrected by either getting a camber kit or just getting an alignment.

but ya 35 mm rear and 25 mm front would get you flush with that size of tire. however, as you probably know, that large of spacer puts a lot of stress on the car, which is why i suggested just getting 17x8 +35s to start with. but with the 17x7 +38s you could do 20 mm spacers all around to be safe and it would look alright.

Yeah well, I actually though Oem wheels were 6.5 but they're 7in. wide. So 215 will look super ''balloon'' on 17x17.
The problem is that the mags I want aren't made in 17x8, only in 17x7 frown.gif
So I guess I will stick with 17x7 but will go with 205's for the moment and will get 20mm spacers or something like this unless I find other mags I would like (I don't like a lot of mags though frown.gif )

I currently have 18x8 offset 30 mags on 225x40x18 tires. looks good to me, but i feel i can still put extra 5mm spacers on the rear after i had the rear fenders rolled.

Slowriders car is clearly lowered though, and in his profile it says he has lowering springs. And that's what I meant about everyone's definition of flush being different. Slowrider's is probably as flush as possible without rolling the fender, but to actually be flush it needs spacers, 10 mm in the front and 20 mm in the rear.

This is what I would consider flush, 18x8 +35s with 20 mm spacers, so an overall +15 offset.

See, in my opinion that sticks out too far... especially in the front. That's about an inch difference to what the guide says which would be about right in my opinion. To each their own I suppose. We have a separate flush fitment guide if that's what people want. If they want no hassle fitment they can look here.

my configuration is:

OZ Crono Wheels 17" 8JJ 35mm, fits perfectly on 6gen

no spacers needed!

Sparco Assetto Gara 17x7.5 with +35 Offset and adding 10mm spacers

would a 17x9 with +42 offset fit?? what kind of tires would you suggest on these rims? my celi is only lowered a bit less the one inch.. but i want to lower it maybe 1.5-2"...

any thoughts on the megan coilovers? i'm thinking of getting them...

Any thoughts of spacers needed on 17x7 215/45/17? I believe offset is +45 on them and they're as sucked in as can be lol i have about 1mm clearance from coilover in the rear. What's a good spacer i could use? Disregarding ride height because that can be adjusted. Btw anna i got tein superstreets and love them, im sure megan's are about the same quality but a bit less expensive

possibly 15mm spacer up front and 20mm spacer in the rear, but I'm not quite sure if your looking for flush look or not?

I'm not too picky about it being perfectly flush etc, just want it to get a wider stance but not sticking out like crazy. I was thinking about the same sizes too so I think i'll try those. Thanks!

If you check out my pics, I'm running 20mm up front, 25mm in the back. Same spec wheels. The rears scrape a tiny bit when hooking around corners at a decent speed or have a full car.

Edit: I'm running 205/45 tyres though
