I few month ago I read a thread about the mpg for the Toyota celica and those numbers were way off comparing to this ones from this .gov website.
http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/findacar.htm For example the 1994 celica GT does 21 city/27 highway (23 combined) compared to 23 city/29 (25 combined) highway official EPA window sticker Check it out, it will give you the mpg for any make, model and year and you can also compare it with the official EPA window sticker fuel economy. I wish this site had a list for jdm cars because I really want to know the mpg for a celica 3sge beams redtop motor. |

Like I said in my progress thread, I was doing mostly 75% highway miles and I was getting 32 out of my 5 speed GT. In my auto ST, I got 35 combined. And the extra power that the GT has is well worth 3 mpg. I'm still calculating what the BEAMS will do. So far it's looking like high 20's.

It really depends on how you drive that makes the difference. When I drive on I-90 I get mid to high 30mpg, when I drive on a highway road I get about 40mpg. City I can't really tell because I'm too busy with things going on around me to track how many miles I've gone.

33.05 mpg from my BEAMS on this tank. It was a good mix of highway and city driving, more highway than city. And it wasn't all conservative driving, if you know what I mean.

It depends.. I usually do around 600kms with a full tank (60L) which means around 10L/100kms. But I can do 450kms like I can do 700kms.
Now convert it to mpg.. |

I would love to know what car they used to get this information... did they just pull a car from a junkyard? one with no aerodynamics left... and probably has a leak in the fuel line?

its a way to get ppl to think their older cars are getting worse MPG.
1. FILL UP 2. Reset trip meter 3. FILL UP when you're low. 4. Divide miles on trip meter by gallons you added = mpg for that tank 5. go to step 2 -------------------- QUOTE "And, as always, your friendship, help, and dedication to the advancement of Texas Celica dominance is GREATLY appreciated. Not a new sensor, just the used one that came in the B pipe. The girlfriend has the car right now and she's doing mostly city driving and getting probably upper 20's. She also likes to drive quicker than me. And it's running crazy rich too. Once I figure out why and lean it out a little, I'm hoping to see around 30 with mixed driving.
