no, it is as bad as it looks. all of that may not be rotted through, but it is rusting out inside of itself and then it will break.

it's bad.
If it's rotting there I have a good idea of the many other spots it's rusting out. I had a rust filled ST. I saw the rust progression in that car go from just a little rust and then became dangerous to drive. Seeing the rot in your pics, I give the car less than a year before the brake lines and front/rear subframes are toast. I could be wrong though. -------------------- |

and off roading with that rot prob isnt the best idea either.. id def try and go through the car and get rid and patch up as much rot as you can

you can clearly heard the noise of my axle when accelerating here,

Sounds like a sensible choice.. its still tought ! the rust on there was created by the inside rear wing thats make the hole, but the rear suspension frame is not affected, its just a hole inside a wing....and all tyhe other part of my car is ok, no rust, i can easely patch it up , and to be sure, put a rear torsion bar, since the frame is not damage |

take a needle gun, and run it across important frame sections. you will see how much rust is there as the needle gun will destroy rust, but leave healthy steel unaffected

i just find this clutch for 50$,

^LMAO. Had a stage 2 racing clutch from them and it broke all 6 springs after 1,500 miles. Good luck.

Rust is eating your car away. Is not as bad as it looks because you cannot look beyond the undercoating.
before continuing on that car, please remove the old undercoating and do an inspection of the affected area, sanblast it and then recover it before its too late. torque and HP will tear that tower apart.. 0.02 -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... Sucks to see your car falling apart like that yeah , i need to get trought this rust as soon as possible here a pic from inside , you can see the custom top of shock holder i made, cause the old one was rust and broked. Get a new shell seriously. It will be the smartest thing you ever do. I'm from New York the Salt King State and I know first hand the impact rust has on a vehicle. You will be fighting that rust every time you work on that car. If the body looks like that you can believe every bolt is siezed beyond removal. That equals snapping bolts and spending hours drilling and retapping. I can gurantee when you go to replace brakes you will snap both bolts off in the calipers, that means drill and tap (pain) or new calipers. It will be much more economical to start looking for a clean shell now or face the numerious repair costs in the future. I know this hurts because its like your child, but its brain dead and on life support....pull the plug.
