I'm almost done with the hood. It was damaged in a very curvy area = hard as FCK to fix. Bondo is very slow.. mixing it and using it only takes about 5 min. Waiting for it to harden so I can sand takes 30 min to an hour.

I did an antenna delete today. Removed the auto up/down unit and filled in the hole and smoothed it out. Since the v6 will get my standard CarPC

I also reinstalled the front subframe. Now that thing was fun to line up alone and with only a jack and a tie down.

I removed the front hubs so I can do the bearings whenever I get the chance this week or next weekend.

They will do that every time; mine is the main reason I have a room full of parts I don't have the time to install.

Can't wait to see the finished product Stephen.

To be honest I'm looking forward to it - I've always wanted a daughter.

But on topic: any updates Stephen?

this weekend the body should be ready to receive the engine.

weather has actually been superb this week.

Finished sound proofing the rear of the car. fiberglass stuffed in ALL the empty body cavities.

I think the sound proofing added ~30-50 LBS, but worth it IMO, i dont like sounds coming in.

I need to move my engine from starage to my houst next week, and then the engine will meet tranny again after a lone year of separation wink.gif

Got some stuff done last week. Took the rest of my vacation days next week and the week after thanksgiving to work on this. Expect more details soon as I'm on my cell.

The passenger mount is custom. The drivers mount is a GT manual mount. Axles, and front/rear mounts depend on the transmission you go with.

The stock trans might not like the torque. But it will use regular GT axles, front, rear, drivers mounts.

I cant detail that as i havent reached that point in my swap yet. Its not "just move a few wires around" as the wiring between the celica/v6 harness isnt similar.

Also, since you have no turbo plans, a better motor would be a newer mz series engine, as theyre lighter and a few versions have VVTi.
