Today I drove approx. 35 miles to get to class, that lasted 11 minutes because my professor was ill.
On a "almost" productive note I installed an HID kit but may have accidentally blown one of the ballasts by forgetfully not fastening the connections entirely. End result flicker-flicker-fail annnnd I'm rocking the Silverstars till I replace the ballast. |

Got my GR2s and Tien s's installed today, as well as SS brake lines. I noticed a little negative camber, will post up a picture tonight to find out if the amount I have is acceptable or not.

Somebody... Stole it? Explain. Well, at my apartment complex when I am scheduled to receive a package and UPS shows up while I'm not there they leave a "attempted delivery" slip and then leave the package with the leasing office. I go to the leasing office and present them the slip and collect my package. I've had a dozen packages from FedEx and UPS delivered this way since I moved here in May with no problems at all and all with this same process. Today, I check the UPS web tracker and it says my package was delivered at 2:21PM to "Front Door". Alright, that normally means my package is at the office. So I get home after work around 5 and go to the apartment to get the slip - No slip on the door. Odd. I go to the leasing office and ask them if my package was delivered and the agent says she hasn't seen it and checks the mail room. No package. So, I call UPS and they tell me the same thing the web tracker says: Package delivered to front door. So, I presume that either: A) the delivery guy decided that he wanted my package and just noted on his machine that he delivered it but then kept it, B) someone took the slip and then went to the office and collected my package (which I'll check on tomorrow since the office is now closed), or c) there's a mix-up at UPS and the guy put delivered, left it on my door step, and someone walking by saw it and collected it. The last one doesn't seem likely as, unless this guy is completely new, every delivery guy knows that in this complex if the person isn't here to stop by the office to drop the package. I also find the second one highly unlikely but will verify tomorrow thus meaning only the 1st choice is highly probable. /explanatory rant. -------------------- Has no more Celicas

Thanks for all the sympathy and crazy ideas guys...it's comforting yet disturbing at the same time.
I'm going to just pray the guy gets a great use out of the battery and that he uses it well. Now, to see about preventing this from happening again... -------------------- Has no more Celicas

so you cant make a claim because UPS said it was delivered, huh? Pretty much. My only recourse was to have Amazon mail me another battery, which they are doing, and wait for it's arrival. Again. This time though I have called Amazon and requested that they have the package held at my local UPS Ground facility so that I can pick it up. It's inconvenient since I'll have to leave/miss work but for the piece of mind and reassurance that I get my merchandise it's worth it. I'll let you guys know how it turns out tomorrow. -------------------- Has no more Celicas

No thats BS - you make the claim with UPS anyways. Tell them it doesn't ****ing matter what it says in their system, the item in question was never recieved. Did anyone sign for it at the front desk? Don't they usually have to sign into a log book or something when there are visitors or deliveries? Whats the damn point of a front desk if they're not there to look out for the building's security? ... are there cameras in the building?? -------------------- |
