The one I had in my sand rail made a distinctive noise...havent put my 255 in my 205 yet so I can't vouch for in car noise levels...

I like that you kept the air vents. Maybe hit a junk yard and find some directional/adjustable vents that will fit in your design so you can still direct the airflow.
