Still think you should go 3s man, but if you want to get crazy you could get two 3sgte's and make a custom block to bind them together, and you could call it the w8sgte!

a 4 liter v8 turbo rev happy engine? You would use the 3s heads pistons con rods custom crank and custom block.... Cheap smile.gif try and mount that in the celica engine bay....

So, how's the cold weather treating the supercharger AJ?

I hope all is well down there.

Thanks, no I'm slacking. Need to get it back on the dyno and to the track, but I want to change up my exhaust before I go back to the dyno.

Well bad news, driving home from work Friday I stopped at the grocery store and when I left the car bogged down. Thought it was just a plug wire that come off which happened once before, but after some troubleshooting and a lot of curse words I have two cylinders with low compression (1 and 2). I think it's probably the head gasket, but if I'm going back into the engine that far, then I'm just going to pull it out. So I think it's 3rd gen 3sgte time for me and whole supercharger kit for 7a will be up for sale at a very reasonable price.

If it's like that with a supercharger, I hate to imagine what it's like 7A-FE in naturally aspirated mode frown.gif

Now imagine a 7A-FE coupled to an automatic transmission. Yeah...

Anyway, I can see it does quite a bit for acceleration in the video - lack thereof in first gear, because all he does is spin. Second through third and on, it's much, much faster.

Really interesting, well documented, build. I think you have a good thing going there. I would just pull the head off, replace gasket and if pistons are done, throw in some 4agze pistons. I think an investment in a good ems is a good idea.

We built a 5afze some time ago. Stock 5afe with 4agze sc12 on about 7 psi . You can read about it on my site http://www.budgetracer.webs.com . I still need stop being lazy and update it.

Good luck with what ever route you choose to take.

Pulled it all apart today and indeed the head gasket was blown between cylinders 1 and 2. I ordered a new head gasket kit from toyota. I'll take pics of it and of the reassembly. S/C is not going back on though and will be up for sale.
