Just FYI Modellista is a Toyota Tuning company, they do stuff for pretty well all the mainstream models in Japan, and go so far as to do things like supercharger kits, ecu, suspension, sway bars, brakes etc etc.

I've been really interested in their work since I saw the 2012 Modellista Vitz RS. Most of their work won't make it Stateside but that just means I'll have to find most of it on eBay upon release. -------------------- Has no more Celicas

Boooooo... was gonna sell my GT-4 if it was gonna look like the scion concept on the outside. Too bad. Those tails are HIDeous. For some reason the interior reminds me of this:

First previews are rolling in:
Autocar UK QUOTE (Autocar) I suspect those who do won’t regret it. The Toyota FT-86 will need a change in attitude: this car’s not about delivering ultimate acceleration or lap times, it’s just about having fun. The FT-86’s modest limits and power mean that it should prove enjoyable on the road: you’ll be able to get more out of it, more often, than you could a much faster and more theoretically capable sports car, whose reward is more often than not limited by visibility and sensibility. Car Magazine UK QUOTE (Car Magazine) "The Toyota FT-86 is great news for enthusiasts: it’s affordable, frugal and relatively practical. You also don’t have to be a driving deity to explore its limits. If anything, we’d adjust the high-speed, on-limit balance (firmer front end, more progressive transition into oversteer, tighter differential), but that doesn’t undo the underlying fact that this is a great car, and one that trounces its closest rival, the Mazda MX-5, in the fun stakes." Sounds promising... -------------------- Has no more Celicas

answered a lot of my questions.
redline = 7500 stability control can be turned off weighs 2821 lbs has no boxer rumble comes with 215/45/17s 53/47 distribution interesting that this engine is making the exact same 197 bhp that toyota did with the beams 12 years ago. however, this engine should be easier to turbo than the beams, and i presume will get better mileage. |

I plan on getting the Toyota/Scion and then buying the Subaru tail lights for it because the base Toyo ones are ugly.
Looking forward to the final specs/reveal at Tokyo Motor Show. -------------------- Has no more Celicas

Subaru has not been on the streets while some mags want to claim they have already driven it.. -------------------- 1994 MR2 SW20, 1990 Celica ST185, both 3SGTE
