Hey what's up everyone?
I bought myself a 5th gen Celica 5s-fe manual a couple of months ago in pretty good condition. It's been driven hard for sure but it doesn't feel like it engine-wise. This is one of the few active forums left for Celicas... is it a bad thing that I'm on here and I'm a 5th gen owner? -------------------- 1993 Celica GT Coupe - sold

Well that's great to know! I also have a friend that just boosted his 5s-fe MR2. I'm looking to do the same with mine, but with a much simpler build than his.
Been looking for a decent CT-26, but I can only seem to find the Supra version on e-bay, and I'm not going with that. My MR2 friend has a left-over downpipe meant to be used with a CT-26 so I'm looking to use that so he doesn't have to throw it away... My plan is: o OEM Manifold o CT-26 o 315 cc Supra Injectors (can't find any 460 cc high-impedance RX-7 ones and like I said I want this to be as simple as possible) o OEM TMIC because mine already has an all-trac hood, so I want to use it for what it was meant for o S-AFC o 2 bar MAP from an MR2 3sgte o 2.5" piping I'll be purchasing the parts in spring when I get some money and I'll make a build thread of it to keep track hopefully. -------------------- 1993 Celica GT Coupe - sold

Not to be negative, but this is probably more suited in the "off topic" section. Kurt is right.. Check the MR2OC forums too, there are always people getting rid of CT-26's on there. We just don't want 'em on our 2's, heh. I plan on getting rid of mine, but probably not before summer. |

I figured that much I just registered but I'm awaiting approval.
Hopefully I can find a nice OEM manifold + CT-26 that doesn't need a "rebuild". -------------------- 1993 Celica GT Coupe - sold

Not a huge fan of the painted cf. There's an alltrac down my street that had the cf trims painted to match the car and it looked horrible.

Check your clearance for the TMIC. The 3S-GTE has a lower valve cover than the 5S that allows for it to sit above. The factory one may not fit above the 5S or have room to move with the engine.

Check your clearance for the TMIC. The 3S-GTE has a lower valve cover than the 5S that allows for it to sit above. The factory one may not fit above the 5S or have room to move with the engine. Once I realized that might've been the case, I decided I'll just go FMIC. It's better anyways, cooling-wise. @Spolski: Already got my manifold. No longer getting either a CT-26 nor 2bar 3sgte MAP sensor. I should update the first post... Not a huge fan of the painted cf. There's an alltrac down my street that had the cf trims painted to match the car and it looked horrible. Painted CF trims? You mean the front bar that comes black stock? The whole car was painted the same color. I actually like it better than painted black like it comes stock. When the headlights are down, stock 5th gen looks like this: And when they're up, it looks like it has a moustache... lol -------------------- 1993 Celica GT Coupe - sold
