Coolant LeakI have coolant leaking from either the thermostat housing or the metal tubing (?) that joins the engine block at about the same location. I have tightned all the bolts and the coolant leak has gone from a drip to a massive loss of coolant. This doesn't appear to happen when the engine is warm but rather when the car is sitting in the driveway.

Has anyone encountered this before and what is the solution?

the gasket that goes around the thermostat might have failed. take the metal pipe off and check it out

The gasket for the water by-pass pipe has failed. Is there any way to change that without removing the water pump?
