I gotta give it to ya.... i wish the one picture wasn't blurry. Those really have a chance at looking good if you can get the lenses cut to perfect shape and the insides finished up.
Nice work so far! ![]() -------------------- ![]() |

i like the progress that you are doing on the head lights and i believe that i have to solution for your current perdicament. what you need to do is make a smooth mold of the INSIDE of the head light lenses.. essentialy making a negative to be placed on a vacuume table. then make a posative casting using softened plexi. that way you can have the "sides" to the lens that you are looking to get so that the lens can then be mounted the the head light housing like normal.
much like this guy did for the inside shroud for his head lights.. i would say that the only additional step to the whole process would be to use some extremely high lvl (6000+) sand paper and then a buffing wheel, w/ a compound that will not tarnish the plexi. Five Axes did a how-to on how to make and use a vacuum table, in one of the import mags.. (can remember if it was Project car, Import Tuner, Modified, or D-Sport.) i really think that you would have better results using this process. ![]() -------------------- |

no problem
![]() the mag article showed how to make a vacuume table.. and as far as i can tell the only part that may take a few tries is the placement of a few of the suction holes. that would give a perfect moulding. good luck!!! -------------------- |
