Glad you got them.
How do they feel compared to stock ?

They feel excelent! Just had a litttle trouble with the tap because i though it was 14x1.5 like your post said but it was 14x2.0. But i realized that just before making the thread lol

Today I changed the bulbs in my dome light and behind the instrument cluster. But I've gotta take it back out because my right turn signal indicator isn't lighting up. Either I knocked it loose or didn't plug something back in right. Yay! Something to do tomorrow.

^ Nice.

Yesterday, I sprayed my license surround flat black - à la NGHTKD - so, thanks guy, for the inspiration. It looks cherry.

Pulled an OBDI 5 speed ECU for use in a possible swap down the road.

Changed my oil, and thermostat. When refilling the radiator fluid from changing the thermostat I found the rad cap in this condition:

New TRD shift knob. Best $31 I've spent recently.

Hey - did it screw on - or just slip on? I have the same one - but it doesn't like my 7th Gen Short shift frown.gif

It's a PITA. There are no threads in it. Apparently they're all "self threading." Just push as hard as you feel comfortable with while screwing it on and it will go on. I had to take my shift boot off to get it started threading, then I actually had to move my shift boot down on the shifter to make sure it would stay on. My Vincent Doggy shift boot sits just a little too high for the shift knob. I moved the plastic tab below the shift boot down 1/4" and now it all works beautifully.

Thanks! I didn't want to manhandle the new shift knob until I knew for sure it was supposed to screw on - I'll probably have to break out the tap n' dye set to rethread the shift stick... I lobbed off the top of it to shorten it visually too...

in hindsight, probably shouldn't have done that but what can you do now, right? kindasad.gif

Installed suspension energy sway bar bushings. Also some mevotech endlinks (13mm vs stock 8mm). The car is rock solid, feels great.
34 Inch clearance makes work soooooo much easier now (I love my new jack)

Front endlinks

Rear endlinks

Installed!!

Yeah, little site called rockauto.....although prices sometimes vary on there. I went with mevotech cause i didnt want to mess around with the recessed hex anymore. I had no idea they would be as thick as they are, oh and i can keep fresh grease in em too.

Yeah, I was just as confused. Then the girlfriend found this thread:

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...p;hl=Shift+knob

Apart from having to move my shift boot down, all went well.

Washed the car, and then just looked at her for a bit. She has come a long way and there isn't that much left that I feel I need to do before I am satisfied. For a little while at least >:)
