Copied from celica club in the uk but from now on ill update as i go.....

After being celica-less and having a flit with a blue oval i've got back into a celica. A big thank you firstly to rich as without him id be up sh*t creek, he's been there to offer storage, breaking space, a hand and much more than mates ive known 10yrs+ have.

Spent weeks doing richs head in showing him celicas and generally bidding calling and viewing various cars. I got gazumped twice, one i rang on a sunday at ten said id come up first thing the next morning got a text at 8am saying it had sold. Then put a deposit on another, only to have it returned as the partner in the business had took a deposit earlier in the day.

One of the lads who used to deliver parts to my garage said he had one for sale a few months back his own daily so i fired him a text on the off chance (prior to the others) and he wanted telephone numbers. After the gazumpings i decided to text him an offer and he said that would be ok. So on my half hour break at 6.30pm rich picked me up and ran me to view it, i had ten minutes a deal was done and i was back to work. I picked it up after work at 1am lol

Shes now home and ive done a few miles and im loving it. She's a 94 (i think) SS2 Superstrut. 115k/km Imported in 2000. Plenty of bills with it and only a few mods smile.gif

Externally the only mods are clear wing repeaters, the tints and the alloys, which i hate lol

Enginewise she's got a K+N, A 4 Branch (made using the stock mani flanges), some ebay leads and a Stainless backbox/fart cannon!

Im loving it!

I entered the toyota sprint series (google it)

We're in registration paid :s

Got the modifying ball rolling smile.gif

and gave her a bath which revealed the only bit of grot on her frown.gif was under tyre mud spray....

ah well chop weld and my next mod will cover her up wink.gif

Fitted some enkei's

Went for a play in a ford in the hills nearby

This is the progress so far.... much more tomorrow smile.gif

Got rid of my now famous infamous fishbowl backlight and fitted these babys

Fitted a HKS Suction Kit ooooo er, my old K+n is for sale if anyones interested?

Also chucked on a Blitz rad cap

And as i don't want to fly everywhere fitted a recaro sr recliner and subframe best mod ive done so far car feels so different smile.gif had one in most of my jap cars

On the to fit list these arrived the other day....

and this arrived this morning as modelled by mini-ims

My rear did the same thing and I cut the rust hole out lol. Unfortunately I fixed it with bondo body filler and not bondo glass... so it's like a mudpie now rofl. Spring will come and I will fix again >.>

Welcome to the forums.

Out of curiosity, what does you OEM steering wheel look like?

Ah. I spent a minute or two in my head trying to figure out how those stock rears may otherwise be more bulbuous than the JDM units and came up with nothing, the clarification helps. tongue.gif

Yes. UK GT models never got the 5S, they got the 3S-GE instead.

Welcome to the 6GC community.

I'm in the process of a 3SGE swap, so I'll be following your thread closely to see what mods you're doing. wink.gif

Hi and welcome, haven't seen to many of the early SS-II SS model so its good to see, also nice find on the recaro seat. If it's the same hks exhaust I have, install is easy.

Rear light filling with water, couldn't imagine how laugh.gif

A couple of things worth looking at are
the radiator
the extractors wrap or coat them to lower engine bay temp
intake filter needs replacing/cleaning
heat shield for around the intake

Lastly just want you to check something for me
E -ST202- BLMVF thats the SS-II model code, was a S or something else added to differentiate between the SS-II and SS-II with superstrut?
E56-04C gearbox/axle code, are the last 3 digits correct

The rads ok at the mo its water tight, i'm aiming to get a tig later in the year for my business www.panda-performance.co.uk so will be making ally rads etc in-house.
The header will get wrapped in summer when i get 5 as its freezing at the mo so the temps are no issue.
filters on the list but ive not had 5 and theres not many hks dealers in the uk.

ill have a look at the vin for you tomorrow its 7pm here smile.gif

love the progress so far, jealous of those wheels, 17x8.5 is a perfect size for a celica, whats the offset on them? there's not much in the 5x100 range over here frown.gif

They were only trial fitted as the passenger side needs respraying and fitting. Ive got some genuine trd rear spats to go on at the same time.... im just being patient as i don't want to rush it and not enjoy each bit i fit if that makes any sense at all.
